First Class!!!

Feb 10th, 2020

Everything about this hotel is first class and is one of those hotel experiences I will always remember. From the pleasant and helpful greeting at check-in, to the wait staff in the restaurant, to the woman who cleaned my room, everyone went out of their way to make my stay extremely pleasant. Everyone was fully bilingual and would quickly switch to English when I would struggle in French. Room was large with couch, recliner chair, large bathroom with rain shower and regular shower heads. Expansive windows that gave 180 degree view. Across the street from the entrance to Place Ville Marie which enabled me to walk underground when the temps hit -2 F. 15 minutes from the Bell Centre, 10 minutes from the Convention Centre and 5 minutes from the train station. . Adequate gym, awesome restaurant, added to a wonderful experience for my 3 night stay. Bose speaker that you could pair with your mobile device and listen to your music was a real bonus!! Definitely stay at this hotel if you want to have a memorable experience in Montreal. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Above and beyond

Everything about this hotel was amazing: The early check-in so my sister could hang out at the hotel while I had a meeting; the kind treats from Peter to cheer my sister up after a terrible break-up; the treats for her little dog; the incredible decor in the lobby and the room that made the hotel the destination instead of just a place to crash; and the best-ever breakfast (top 2 best-ever eggs Benedict — on a croissant with salmon and the most perfect breakfast eggs). Hotel is fine, but eat elsewhere

Jan 31st, 2020

This hotel is quite nice. The reception is tiny, but the staff are super nice, so check in - and out are quick and efficient. They are also always ready with a smile and helpfull tips for getting around the city. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The free toilettries in the bathroom are nice. The decor in the rooms is classical and feels very good. Then we come to the not so pleasant. The room service is abysmal. The time it takes is forever, and the food is just not worth it. The same goes for the restaurant. When you order breakfast in room service, they forget essentials, like butter for your bread, and fob you of with “the bread is brushed with butter when toasting”. Not quite the same, people ! The jam they give is of appalling quality, with no fruit content whatsoever, just very very sweet, and a texture like jello. While it is nice quality bread, it is cut from home made loaves, which means that sometimes you get 3 good slices, and sometimes you get the small end pieces. Generally portions are small. If you have to eat in the restaurant, avoid the Asian dishes. Any Asian person would be offended. The spices are non existent and the dishes are swimming in oil. So in total, very nice hotel, with low quality food. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great spot to stay in Montreal

Jan 24th, 2020

We stayed for 3 nights beginning New Year's Eve. The hotel itself is classy and clean. The staff were all excellent, very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect as a base for walking around Montreal - Bell Centre, Mount Royal, Old Montreal and various restaurants. We highly recommend this hotel. As an aside, it was our first experience using Bonvoy points to pay for part of our stay and we were pleased with the program. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Classy, comfortable and great staff

Jan 19th, 2020

I’ve become a bit of a regular here, staying monthly for a few days at a time. It’s become my favourite hotel in Montreal because of the wonderful staff and great rooms they have. I usually book a Suite here and it’s a really good size and layout, especially considering the price being very fair for this caliber. The bed is extremely comfortable, as is the L-shape sofa in the room. Big TVs with Netflix and it gets really quiet and dark at night. You can’t beat this location, it’s really close to anywhere you’d want to go while visiting the city. I’m staying here as we speak and want to absolutely congratulate them for doing what many Montreal hotels don’t - they just cleared away 30cm of snow around the hotel and the valet pickup area. It’s a really good example of how much they seem to care about their guests experience. One last thing, the “chat” function on your phone works great in this hotel, they’re very responsive and quick.
