Best hotel in Nashville for a Corporate Meeting

Jun 25th, 2019

A great hotel, a great location and excellent service are the trend at this Renaissance location. The event teams at this hotel know exactly what "exemplary customer service" means and they go above and beyond all expectations! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I would not stay here again

Jun 22nd, 2019

I usually give positive and good reviews and try not to dwell on negatives. Everyone has different expectations and opinions on places they visit so I choose to read more of the positive than negative reviews when doing my research. I felt compelled to write this review because I have never had such a negative experience as I did at this hotel. First of all there are some positives about this hotel. It’s very beautiful and trendy inside. The lobby and lounge staff and were all very friendly and conversational. I appreciated that and I was always friendly back. It was not their fault that the corporate values are about the money and not the customer. The beds and showers were comfortable. It’s a very close walk to Broadway Street. Self parking across the street was convenient and reasonable at $14/day. The reasons I would not stay here again far outweigh the positives. I booked my reservation for a king room 3-4 months ago. At check in I was told no rooms were available except for a 2 queen room. However, for a $50+ upcharge to my already $290+ room I could get a king room on the club level which includes breakfast and snacks on weekdays only. My room ended up directly across from the club lounge where the breakfast/snacks were. For 3 days I endured the constant opening and slamming of the lounge door from 5:30am until 11pm. Also, every guest room door shuts very loudly no matter how quiet you try to be. After 3 days of enduring this disturbance I requested a new room. I’m sure I’m not the first person or the only room to complain of this. Of course the response was no rooms were available except for a 2 queen room at the continued upcharged rate. I agreed even though the new room was not as renovated and had a miniature window to look out with a view of the elevator shaft. I realized after 1/2 hour I had left a personal item behind in my room. I went back to my old room and luckily the housekeeper was there. However, she told me my item wasn’t there. I know it was there and I knew where I left it but she insisted she didn’t see it. Not a huge deal- it was worth less than $10. It’s the principle behind it. I always tip the housekeepers daily and that’s what I get in return? Other reasons not to stay here: - elevator wait is horrendous. I think 2 of the 5-6 are actually in service. They must be aware of this issue because ample seating areas are conveniently placed at the elevator banks. - construction noise. Not the hotel’s fault and you’d probably hear it at any hotel in the area. Also started early around 6 am - guest room doors shut so loud it’ll wake you from a deep sleep. - SEVERELY inflated room rates. 5 nights was over $2000. For that cost I could’ve stayed at a Deluxe Disney resort or any Vegas hotel for less! Will visit Nashville again but will stay a different hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Perfect hotel to be close to Broadway

Jun 21st, 2019

Walking distance to the famous Broadway and some tours. Hotel was clean and spacious. Two very nice bars, bigger than average workout room, and glass elevators. If you are wanting to swim there is a pool, but it is indoors. Not super fancy but would suffice. Hot tub as well. We could take advantage of the concierge room on the 24th floor and it was a wonderful bonus. Breakfast in the morning was perfect. Snacks and non-alcoholic drinks were complementary early evening every day. You could purchase alcoholic drinks as well. Would definitely stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Marriott should drop this hotel

Jun 19th, 2019

I'm a Platinum Elite and travel almost every week for work and am incredibly loyal to the brand. This location, however, should get dropped from the Marriott Flag. This hotel clearly makes its money off of conventions, because from the second you walk in it's very apparent. The hotel appears to do very little to manage the chaos. Staff is incredibly rude and unprofessional. Had to debate with the check-in desk about the benefits from having status with Marriott... eventually just had to pull up the Marriott Bonvoy page on my phone and walk them through their loyalty program. Bellman/valets mill about in front, many times even obstructing/blocking your egress. I also observed one staff member crash a luggage cart into the side of a vehicle of a guest. Bellman will also jockey with hotel guests for elevator space, because there are such long waits in between. Hotel appears to have been renovated, but the housekeeping is spotty and rooms are already begin to show their grime and wear. Used towels are just left on the floor and new ones are placed on the shelf. While this isn't under their control, there is constructions on all sides of the hotel. There are no quiet sides. Hotel bars are borderline depressing. Staff in the evening begins to put away liquor choices well before closing in order to be able to depart immediately. And worst of all, their rates are in line with a nearby JW, Westin, and other Marriott properties. Will never stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great Hotel within easy walking distance of Music Row

Jun 15th, 2019

Stayed 5 nights, combining pleasure with business. Hotel is in great condition, staff was awesome and food for business meetings was great as well. Only downside, and totally understand, was the noise of the construction being done outside the building all night long and I know the hotel cannot control this. Overall, great stay and would definitely recommend! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
