Handy for Broadway

Sep 19th, 2019

This is a nice hotel, just a few minutes walk from the lively bars on Broadway. Very welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. Two good bars, although the Bridge Bar was so chilled with the air con that we were freezing (you need a jacket!). A nice touch would have been bathrobes but this was a minor inconvenience. A pleasant experience overall. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Lovely Hotel, Great Service and Location

Sep 17th, 2019

We (husband, wife, adult daughter) were in town to visit the sites. As Bonvoy members we chose this hotel based on previous reviews, the hospitality room, and the location. Arrival and checking was easy and we had the valet park the car; we did use the car again until we left town. The rooms are very nice. We were on the floor with the hospitality room, which was convenient. Nashville is “construction city” and no place is immune to the noise from the building sites and that was certainly true for us. They were doing steel work next door and at about eye/ear level. Not bad when we were away and only noticed at 7am when they started working. The hospitality room is very nice- good selection of foods for breakfast and pleasant staff. The coffee machines were a little sporadic, but didn’t present a problem. We did eat at the bar/restaurant once for lunch and it was very good. Our daughter had breakfast and it was quite good- the buffet was especially good with lots of choices. We were able to walk to a number of the sites- Country Music Hall of Fame, Ryman Theater, and more. We used Uber and taxis for other sites and appreciated the pickup space in front of the hotel for Uber. We would definitely stay in the Renaissance Hotel again if we are back in Nashville. Wonderful hotel and conference facilities

Sep 16th, 2019

This is a wonderful hotel by most any measure. I was there for a week with a group of about 900. Throughout our stay, the staff was incredible - friendly, helpful, and ready to serve. The rooms were modern, clean and comfortable. The location was great, just a few steps from Broadway and restaurants galore. The conference facilities were recently updated and were among the best our group has used. Not one bad thing to say about my stay there. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice hotel, with some weak points

Sep 16th, 2019

I stayed in this hotel for a week in September 2019. First, the good points: Great location, and great staff. It's right in downtown just a couple blocks from the Ryman, which came in handy when I scored last-minute tickets to see Dwight Yoakam. And the staff was very helpful when needed. Now the downsides, of which there are two: 1) The elevators are SLOW. There are five elevators, but it seems like only one runs at any time. So they basically stop at every floor. Not so bad when you are on the third or fourth floor. Very annoying when you are on the 24th or 25th floor. Since there is usually a convention of some sort going on, that can mean lines just to get into the elevators. (We actually had a security guard funneling us into the elevator one day, because the line was so long.) 2) There is little storage space in the rooms, especially for a couple. There is a chest of three drawers, but only two work. The third is filled with the safe, which is permanently mounted to the drawer. So you can't remove it even if you want to, if you're looking for more room. There is a normal-size closet, and a set of three small shelves inside the closet. So for one person like me, it was ok. I can't see how a couple would have enough room, though. So overall, a nice hotel with good service, but if I go to Nashville again, I would consider some other hotels as well. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Perfect location

Sep 11th, 2019

One of the most comfortable hotel beds I’ve ever slept on. Rooms were spacious modern and clean. Perfect location around corn from tootsies. Start of downtown strip. Expensive for breakfast so go out. Some great places to eat. If you like eggs your sorted so many cafes. Taxis are expensive. Plan your trip well if your going to opry $25 one way. Didn’t use u we felt it wasn’t safe. Must go place so lively everyone is so nice & great food and drink. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
