Clean, Modern, Friendly & Great Location

Jan 22nd, 2020

We had a one night stay in Philly the day before my surgery at University of Pennsylvania. We were looking for something near the historical district and in walking distance of the sights. This hotel was perfect! Two blocks to the right was Independence Hall, and two blocks to the left was the Museum of the American Revolution. We were in walking distance of several restaurants, as well. The service was excellence, from the valet parking, to the front desk, to the concierge desk. We had got to visitphilly.com to book our hotel and got several perks along with the room. Check this site out if you haven't already. The room was clean, spacious, and modern. Our only ding against this hotel was the bar. The bartender was not very friendly and his drinks weren't that good. But overall, we had a great stay! Definitely will choose this hotel for a future trip! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Don't Stay Anywhere Else in Philly

Jan 14th, 2020

This hotel starts slowly, picks up steam, and hits it out of the park. All the small things matter. The lobby and particularly the check-in site are not impressive, but the staff is. They answered questions, took care of issues, and handed me water. The room has plenty of surfaces, which is critical. I look out my window and see Independence Hall. There are more than enough towels, a washcloth is already in the shower, which is a great shower. The lobby bar is a great place to watch the game and the food is good. The continental breakfast is great, salmon, etc. There is a goo fitness room in the basement and a pool and a hot tub. Always, there is a lot of very helpful staff. And the location cannot be beat. Unpleasant stay. Manager needs to go!

Dec 31st, 2019

Although the hotel grounds are attractive, the Service Level provided at the property is a disaster. The Hotel Management is not in line with the type of property and the staff has not been trained properly. We experienced delays in checking-in, the Manager completely failed to address concerns about our room (cleanliness level/ noise concerns) and simply does not get it when it comes to meeting guest expectations! There are many more better options in Philly so choose a location where one actually feels welcomed and not stressed by a Manager and staff who do not know how to manage an hotel! Deluxe Hotel in Great Location

Dec 31st, 2019

Fromm check-in to check -out staff members went above and beyond to be helpful. Rooms are very large with a mini-frig in the room. Beds are super comfortable. My room on the top floor had a fabulous view of the historical park across the street. The hotel is ideally located to explore this vibrant city on foot. Only slight negative was that the breakfast buffet was rather tired- same choices every day and not much variety. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Exceptional Employees

Dec 17th, 2019

We were there for a wedding. It also happened to be the weekend of the Army/Navy game so the hotel wall full. The staff was aware of the 3 pm wedding(with shuttle service picking everyone up at 2:30). They expedited the room cleanings to get us in there before normal check in time so we could get ready. Every employee was friendly and helpful. Even the bartender (female with glasses) was helping wedding guests figure out how to tie bow ties! Giancarlo Rodriguez was exceptional! He always had a smile and an eager desire to help. I tripped and broke my shoe. He knew he had seen gorilla glue in the engineer's office. He ran to get it and fixed my shoe without hesitation! Just phenomenal! Our room was very nice. Loved the decor. The bed was very comfortable as were the linens. The shower was super. The rest of the bathroom was nice too. No complaints at all.
