Riverfront hotel in the center of Reno

Jul 11th, 2019

This is the place to stay if you’re in Reno and you don’t want to be in one of the hotels with a casino. We were greeted with smiles and welcomes from the staff in the front driveway as we approached the hotel. The front desk agent, Nigel, was also very warm and welcoming. She provided all the necessary hotel information during checkin and gave us a few suggestions for places around the property. Being a Titanium Elite in the Bonvoy program, she was able to provide an upgrade to a very nice corner room on the top floor. The perks also allowed for lounge access, high speed internet for free and a late check out. Our room was spacious and well laid out. High ceilings, plenty of lighting, floor to ceiling windows and one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept on in a while. The bathroom was the size of most standard hotels rooms. Dual vanities, large walk in shower, separate jetted tub and room to dance if the mood hit you. The lounge for breakfast is located in the lobby, just off the elevators. The attendant was by far the most helpful and cheerful lounge employee I have encountered in years. Most breakfast lounge attendants are miserable and walk around scowling. I am sorry I didn’t get her name, but she was helpful and went above and beyond for each and every guest that was there. There is a bar on property that we didn’t get a chance to visit. It’s supposed to be the longest bar in the state of Nevada. The bar also has Bocci Ball courts in it. We didn’t utilize the parking lot on property. One block away was street parking that was free. I think the hotel charges $20 to park in the lot. Overall, a great stay for our short getaway. Highly recommended for a peaceful hotel and restful nights sleep. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

No Big Deal!

Jul 2nd, 2019

We're locals and have eaten in their dining room several times. Way above Average! Fabulous service from arrival through checkout. The staff was outstanding - including the housekeeping department! Extremely well trained all around. We weren't overly impressed with the room and although it was clean, modern and well appointed, it wasn't exceptional. Impossible to watch TV from the couch OR the bed. From a design/comfort standpoint, the room is well-lit when someone turns on the bathroom light. Not good if someone is a light sleeper! Lovely stay!

The hotel is beautiful and clean, I’m assuming it’s brand new. My room was very nice, decorated and clean. No complaints. I had a wonderful river view. The bed was very comfy!! Bathroom was great, updated and pretty! The shower water gets super hot (like boiling) so there’s that if ya want a piping hot shower. There was a Bluetooth speaker in the room which is a neat feature. It was quiet (at least when I was there) and I had no interruptions while trying to sleep. The pool area was also great. On the 4th floor rooftop, it can get pretty windy up there but it was nice and hot. Tons of loungers and cool rocking lounge chairs. I think they’re building a spa up there and you can also order food from the pool by using a phone on the wall and they will bring it to you. The restaurant was overpriced, I didn’t eat there. You are within walking distance of tons of restaurants! We walked to The Eddy, a bar, for drinks. The hotel also has a bocce ball bar area that’s huge and it looks so cool inside and out, but it is closed on Tuesday’s, bummer. Honestly a great, top of the line hotel in Reno. I wouldn’t stay elsewhere as I trust this hotel gives the best quality around. No casino inside, but not a problem for me, I’d rather stay somewhere that DOESN’T smell of cigarette smoke!! I heard it’s one of two hotels in ALL of Reno that is completely non smoking! Yay Renaissance!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Best of Reno

Jun 13th, 2019

By far the best hotel option in Reno. No smokey casino here but short walk if you need to gamble. Staff are fantastic, great drink options in the bar, bocce ball, bar shuffleboard, bikes you can use and right on the Truckee river. Skip the gross casino hotels and stay here! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This place has so much to do!! And I don’t think they have gambling! Rooms were large and clean. Restaurant overlooks the river. It was stunning. The have a bar and game room and corn hole and bocci ball outside. We had a great time here!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
