Restful, Clean, warm and inviting, everything one needs.

We were pleasantly surprised - Everything you need in a small space! comfortable living room area with flat screen and pullout sofa, the most comfortable sleep we've ever had on a Queen bed, plenty of drawers, a full kitchen, and desk area with two chairs, 3 closets! We were only staying one night, but one could easily stay here comfortably for a week. It was incredibly clean!! Get your meals elsewhere, there are plenty of area eateries. No amenities offered like toiletries, etc. The coffee is weak for our taste, and they should make customers aware on the web site that the swimming pool and dining room are closed for Covid19 purposes. Huge disappointment- dirty and loud!

Normally I love staying at Marriotts as my preferred hotel chain of choice and as a Platinum member, but this trip has me questioning whether I’ll be back. I was disappointed not to get my upgrade when I arrived, but understood if they were full. When I asked about getting late checkout I got some resistance there (something normally available to Platinum) and was told instead of noon could do 1:30. This isn’t normal time for late check out and wasn’t going to work for me as I needed until 2:30. The girl at reception indicated it was because of COVID cleaning and so anything past 3 they’d have to charge for another day. Ok... so if I could have up til 3 then why tell me 1:30...? Anyways didn’t make a big deal over it and settled on late checkout before 3. I get to my room though, now keeping in mind the issue with late checkout was COVID cleaning... so you can imagine my thrill to find my room dirty. The table had stuff spilled on it, never wiped up, hair all over bathroom floor, dirty toilet, crumbs left on used kitchen towel, dead fruit flies in the refrigerator, dead bug and dirty tub... anyways you get the point. Definitely not acceptable nor the standard I would expect of this place. Needless to say I did my own cleaning to give myself peace of mind, but certainly unhappy about it. I did let front desk know, actually showed them the pictures I took. Fast forward to midnight...apparently the circus filled with children that don’t sleep are above me. Non stopping running back and forth so a constant pounding on the floors. Dealt with this for an hour. Unfortunately it started back up at 6 a.m. I tried to ignore it but there just was no way. After 7 I call front desk because I’m exhausted and about to lose my mind at this point. Takes 2 attempts at calling and forever for phone to be answered but girl is pleasant at least. I explain and she offers to move me to another room... no, this is not the answer... what would be the point? I’m not going to fall back asleep if I have to get up pack/move etc... and I’m checking out later. I’d like the people upstairs to be addressed so I don’t have running and stomping that sounds like they’re going to come through the ceiling at any point. Here we are though 2 hours later, dirty room and circus upstairs still. Never again! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Terrible experience bloody door and more

For starters tried to check in was a hassle 45 min after my money was found go to suite it was not the suite i paid for they change me to another room and the bathroom door had blood stain and a bloody tissue in faucet went to the fridge found pubic hair and head hair and i am bold old food stain inside and food outside fridge after hrs trying to figure out what management was going to do about it they could not help me until next day next day come person in front desk kind enough change again our room for another night of stay and offered to reimburse my money and was told that that room wasnt suppouse to be rented out in the first place .lets see if theyll keep their word im so tired up till 4am looking for a solution this is truly unacceptable. Make me wonder how clean from the corona prevention or measurement are the cleaning crew doing in this place. Glasses and coffee cups still with coffee stain. Been one hell of a night. After this experience don't think ill choose this place now the manager wants to charge me another night when comp night was offered next to refund this is now truly unacceptable.go to front desk to ask why am i getting another charge and no one has an answer want to throw up my breakfast thats how upset my stomach with ulcer is having right now waiting for manager TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Completely disappointing stay

Internet inoperative - you can log in and choose to pay for the enhanced speed connection, but then the connection goes repeatedly into a 30 seconds on vs 10 minutes off frequency. Called the front desk and I was told that I needed to call the 1-855 number for technical support. Called their technical support and ultimately told that they wouldn't be able to fix the issue before I checked out the following day. Complained about the issue via the Bonvoy chat and told the issue would be fixed. Hours later nothing done. Had selected the enhanced speed option when I logged on so that's a waste of money. Wanted to make a pot of tea but the coffee maker was absolutely filthy. I am a loyal Marriott customer, Titanium Elite, but I I've never been as disappointed in a property as this one. It is as if they don't care because they are letting it slide into a such a state of disrepair. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Middle of the Road

For an annual Ravens road trip, we stayed at this hotel. I chose this hotel specifically because all rooms were supposedly suites. In fairness, they are more so a junior suite as opposed to a traditional suite. Upon check-in, I was greeted by a lovely young lady. I am probably wrong but I believe her name was Kiara (dark hair, approximately 20 years old.) Anyway, she was very enthusiastic and friendly. No doubt, she’s the type of young lady that reflects positively on the property. The room was dated. They have a fireplace heater which is nothing more than a decoration. It looks nice, but I think it stopped blowing hot air long ago. The bathroom is very cramped. Again, that’s not usually the case in suites. I did like how the rooms are set up as mini condos. The beds were comfortable. As far as the property, there’s ample parking. Although I didn’t eat the breakfast, I looked at it when I got coffee in the morning. It looked good. The hotel is approximately one mile from University of Buffalo. It’s a very nice area. Any kind of store imaginable is within easy driving distance. One evening, the carbon monoxide detector went off around 8pm. The front desk said they were working on the system. Incidentally, it went off again 2 am the next morning. That really doesn’t give one an easy feeling. When I checked out, I met Rachel. I also found her to be extremely outgoing and a pleasure to talk to. Again, she is a great ambassador for the Marriott brand. Would I stay here again? Maybe. I wouldn’t automatically say yes or no. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
