Great waterfront hotel

Dec 9th, 2020

So this hotel has a great waterfront view. The rooms are nice. The pool is waterfront too. The only downfall is that you really can't walk to downtown and the different shops and restaurants. They have a paid parking lot in front for easy parking. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very nice located.

Nov 8th, 2020

The hotel is very nice located, is just in front of the ocean, and is not in the very downtown but is very near by, to be honestly that quality makes it better, because is out of the downtown traffic and noise but is very very close to it. The hotel is very good condition and rooms are spacious and comfortable, is a little pricy and you don't get not even a bottle of water of courtesy (at least the first night) like the others Marriott's brand does.. But what is not pricy in California if you want something nice? I definitely will come back to this hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Close to water and close to shady characters

Sep 20th, 2020

The staff here were very nice but this area is questionable. Upon arrival, there was an altercation in the parking lot that required security and police attention. There is a noisy boat dock right next to this property, and the dock was right outside my dirty room window. Many locals were staying here, I believe for the dock and to be on the water. People arrive with coolers of food in order to cook and not have to eat out. I will note going forward that sometimes "Residence Inns" will draw a certain type of clientele. There were homeless people within walking distance of this property. I think that parking at the dock next door was free, but I didn't feel that my rental vehicle would be safe there, so I paid the $25 daily parking fee at the hotel. The room was basic and had an old, outdated feel to it. The pool is small, and the picture online looks nicer than in person. This area was not as peaceful and quiet as I had hoped and seemed to draw some noisy groups. Again, the staff was great, but I would not choose this hotel again based upon the area. A Sunday morning Aug 16, 2020

Aug 16th, 2020

I checked in late Saturday night after a day in Avalon on Catalina Island. Slept in on This particular Sunday morning. Due to Covid The traditional included breakfast buffett was replaced with a Grab and Go Breakfast. This was a nice replacement. Unfortunately this option ended at 9am. Normally the buffett would have gone to 10am. I arrived at 9:30am and was only disappointed for a second. The front desk receptionists, Adriana and Jessica were very kind and made an exception. They went out of their way to put together a Gab and Go bag for me and family. If you're traveling to Long Beach it is a very nice and clean hotel within a short drive to the downtown area. Excellent stay!

Jul 23rd, 2020

Really enjoyed our stay here. The front desk staff were all fantastic, the rooms were clean and pleasant to be in, great view, kitchen fully stocked. Location was good, we felt safe, nice walk to the Queen Mary. Nice pool with a great view. Decent grab n go breakfast. We stayed at another residence inn earlier in our stay, and it was terrible on many levels, but this one was amazing! I would absolutely stay here again!! One complaint - the first room we got smelled like smoke, and they promptly moved us. I thought Marriott leaves rooms empty for 3 days between stays due to covid. Why would a room still have a smoke odor 3 days later? Anyway, we ended up moving to a great room and aside from a slight AC malfunction, we had no other issues. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
