Unpleasant hotel experience

Nov 29th, 2019

We stayed at Residence Inn Baltimore White March for 2 days over Thanksgiving. We booked 2 one-bedroom suites for our family. Although there were other suites available, the desk receptionist who was on shift when we arrived, assigned to my husband & me a suite with windows opening onto a debris-laden hotel roof. After complaining, a second desk receptionist who took over the Thanksgiving shift, a lovely & helpful young lady, showed us to a proper suite. Unfortunately, the toilet in the new one overflowed. My husband called to have a hotel maintenance person come plunge the toilet. He tried calling for 15 minutes waiting for someone to answer, to no avail. So he had to trek two hallways to take the very slow elevator to the lobby to talk to the front desk in person. Instead of a maintenance person showing up, someone brought a plunger & told my husband to plunge the toilet himself. The next day, we returned to Residence Inn after a family Thanksgiving dinner & found that our suite had not been cleaned. The bed was unmade, the bathroom was dirty, the tissue holder was empty & there were no clean towels. Again we called the front desk. After checking hotel records, my husband was told that the room supervisor said we had put a “do not disturb” sign on the door, which was not true. The hotel said there was no one to clean the room but they would bring us clean towels. Except for the one sweet desk receptionist, this was a very unpleasant experience. We certainly won’t stay at Residence Inn Baltimore White March again & strongly recommend to anyone staying in this area to find another hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Weekend stay

Oct 23rd, 2019

Stayed for a weekend getaway. The room was very spacious. It was clean and got a pretty good rest from the bed. The elevators was rather slow though. Breakfast was hot in the morning and there was a variety of items to choose from. The front desk was very helpful when asked a question. The doors to the rooms was somewhat loud as they closed. Residence Inn

Oct 19th, 2019

Two-week business trip to Baltimore, USA, chose to stay outside of a city that has a number of issues regarding crime and anti-social behaviour. White Marsh offered that, with a hotel that offered fairly large rooms with kitchen facitities. Plenty of local places to eat or shop. In order to get into Baltimore for 08:00-hrs, need to be onto the highway by no later than 07:15 or you'll be late. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Unsettling

Aug 25th, 2019

Room was adequate. Yes, somewhat dated, but generally clean enough. However, I’ll caution you to think twice about staying here, especially on the weekends. Despite signage prohibiting parties, which you have to acknowledge in writing upon checkin, this wasn’t enforced during our stay. The screaming of profanities coming from behind the thin walls wasn’t bad enough; shouting matches carried on into the hallways. When I politely asked two women who were screaming at each other in the hallway to lower their voices, they verbally attacked me. I felt threatened and immediately went to the front desk to complained. The night manager was indifferent and borderline rude. She did send “security” up to quiet the group, but that only helped momentarily. If a quiet atmosphere and safety are important to you in choosing a hotel, I suggest looking elsewhere. I don't give repeat business to suburban hotels which charge for parking.

Jul 28th, 2019

I don't mind paying for parking in city locations. However, I've begun refusing to do multiple stays at suburban hotels with standard parking lots which charge for parking. This hotel is perfectly fine, and the staff was great. However, they will never see my business again as there is no reason to charge me 10 dollars a night to park in their parking lot. I encourage all travelers to begin avoiding hotels that charge parking in non-city locations. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
