Great Hotel

Aug 13th, 2019

A great hotel, close to shopping mall and good restaurants. The room was a studio style - kitchenette, bedroom, bathroom, shower/toilet. Large rooms and well appointed. Breakfast was buffet style but good quality. Rooms around the internal courtyard can be noisy. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Ok Stay with Pet-Friendly Property

Aug 11th, 2019

Easy access from the highway at this pet-friendly property. There's a $100 per stay charge for a pet, FYI. The price of the room was a bit high but it fit the bill so ended up there. The room was spacious, clean, and recently renovated. The property was well maintained, had plenty of parking and check-in was easy. The breakfast was just OK and should be re-stocked more often, especially the coffee. All in all a worthwhile stay given the need for a pet-friendly property in the area. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

NOT Military Friendly

Jul 2nd, 2019

My family was displaced by tornado when home was deemed uninhabitable. 1) USAA/ALE covered $2k cost but hotel kept charging my CC multiple times to the point it was declined and blocked. I was told by Cailin at front desk ALEs card had declined so they charged mine. No call to me. Speaking with ALE this never happened. It took multiple trips to the front desk and calls from ALE to get it right. 2) Raw sewage came down through ceiling fan in to our bathroom at 6 a.m. I called front desk to report and received a call back that there was nothing overflowing in the room above. I said there was foul smelling water pouring from the ceiling with brown globs and was told it was probably “an ice maker”. The front desk was particularly annoyed when I asked if someone could please come clean it up. He said “I’m the only one here right now but I’ll come when I can.” He did show up to “clean” but just used towels and no disinfectant. Fortunately I had Lysol wipes on hand but the room reeked for days after and maintenance said they “couldn’t find anything”. 3) Prior to the sewage incident I had asked to extend our stay 2 weeks and was told they could do that but the rate would increase to over $200/night since they only have 10 govt rate rooms and all those were booked. My insurance coverage had expired so it would be out of pocket. I spoke with the manager, Wesley and was told again they would not make any exceptions beyond the 10 rooms booked. 4) After staying 3 weeks in this hotel my daughter locked herself out and went to front desk to ask Amber for key. My daughters have frequented pool and breakfast area since checkin but Amber asked for my name and then said there were no children attached to my room and wouldn’t give her a key!! She rolled her eyes at my daughter and treated her rudely! 4) Every time we opened the dishwasher door the entire unit would fall forward-never repaired. 5) Road noise from Presidential Drive is so loud- these rooms are where they put military with pets. After all my family has been through it’s sad to be treated with such rudeness and disrespect. I am so glad to be out of there!! That was our 3 rd hotel and I have to say Red Roof Inn was so much better with Customer Service and room cleanliness! As well as cost. 200$ definitely NOT worth it!! This hotel has taken a nosedive since I stayed 4 yrs ago when we PCSed to WPAFB. I would have given it 5 stars back then. I’d give 0 stars if I could today. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

First visit -- Just average.

We have stayed in some gorgeous Residence Inns -- but this one is a bit older -- and could use an update. The rooms were OK -- but nothing special. Also.......I think the breakfasts have gone down a click or two since our most recent Residence stay. It's still a good value for the money -- and I would still recommend. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Clean room with all the essentials!

May 6th, 2019

Stayed overnight in 2 BR suite and found everything we needed. Hotel staff was friendly and prompt. Lots of restaurants and mall within walking distance! Small market, but they did have items available 24 hours. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
