Nice and Recently Remodeled Hotel
Sep 26th, 2020
Stayed here in late September 2020, during Covid. The hotel has been recently remodeled, so everything in the rooms feels pretty new. Generously sized rooms with kitchens at a fair price (around $120/night). It looks just like their provided photos. I believe this location is the nicest Residence Inn in Lexington, outside of the brand new (more expensive) downtown location. I had checked in online prior to arriving, so the front desk visit was short. The hotel was taking necessary precautions, and public areas were either closed or revised for space. The desk clerk was friendly and had on a mask. I did have to change rooms, as the first I was given had a set of burners but not an oven. Keep this in mind, only some rooms have ovens. If that's what you need, request it up front with your reservation. Room switched, everything else was pretty great. The hotel is back off of the main road in a quiet area, and there are nice residential properties nearby. Definitely not the place to stay if you want to walk to activities, as you'll be driving everywhere. The rooms were quiet aside from some noise from the stairs going up, which were wood and creaked. The bed was large and comfortable, the bathroom was very clean. I didn't find any dirt anywhere, even on the floor of the kitchen where I might expect a bit. Pots, pans, dishes, and the fridge were all clean as well. The TV does have many HMDI inputs, so bring your own cables if you want to watch something. There are no apps with the television, or PPV. Complaints were few: -Smoking areas too close to side access doors, which allows the smoke to drift right into the hallways. When you enter the side door, it smells like a smoking hotel. -The breakfast I ordered was cold when I picked it up at my assigned time, didn't have the yogurt I ordered, and contained some of the worst coffee I've ever tasted. I understand it needs made in advance, but the quality was just not there. At least I could heat up the sandwich in the microwave. -There's no soap for the kitchen, so you'd have to bring your own or use bar soap on dishes. -The hotel has no guest ice machine, because the fridges have ice machines. And while that's fine generally, if I needed ice sooner than 3-4 hours, I had to go bother the front desk for it. -TV in the room was of poor quality, either because it was a very cheap (not HD) TV, or because they are splitting their cable service between all the rooms, lowering quality. Marriott sent me a survey invitation after my visit, which I completed. And to their credit, I received a personal thank you and response within a couple days. They absolutely read my comments! So that was nice. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Nice Lexington hotel!
Sep 24th, 2020
This property was very nice - clean, professional, yet friendly staff, There was a large group of families in town for a hockey tournament, so the patio was filled with guests the afternoon and evening we were there. Otherwise, it looked like a nice place to sit outside on a beautiful KY evening! Upon checking in, we were handed a letter from the General Manager, advising of this hotel's procedures to ensure a safe environment. In addition, a menu of breakfast items was provided, with a request to call the front desk the evening prior, with our choice of items . Impressive, given that the other hotels in which we had stayed on this trip either had a muffin and water or granola bars. This was a treat! The only downside is that in spite of reminders that masks were required, many families either ignored or forgot to adhere to this policy. But, the hotel was not to blame! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
THANK YOU -- SYDNEY, KATIE AND KATHY...!!!

What a fabulous Marriott experience this hotel is – in so many ways: Breakfast is your choice of a cooked-to-order breakfast sandwich, ready for you to pick up from wonderful Katie at your selected morning time starting at 6:30 (along with whatever yogurts, coffees or juices you order the day before)… the fitness room has free-weights… windows are screened and open for a breeze… there is a never-ending neighborhood adjacent to the hotel for long, peaceful walks… all staffers are masked for those of you who need this… and Sidney and GM Kathy are at the front desk to cater to your every desire. Good show, Kathy! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We stayed here when returning from our vacation. The staff had lots of warning signs about maintaining social distancing and took it quite seriously. Extra bedding for the pullout had been removed from the room, presumably for safety reasons, but staff brought us clean sets in bags and delivered with masks. We received a letter from the manager explaining safety protocols, and also offering a very abbreviated breakfast upon request. One suggestion — as a family with food allergies, it would be helpful if you listed that information or provided some packaged, disposable cereal containers for kids, or offered milk/juice. That being said, we completely appreciate the purpose behind the concept and the effort to offer any breakfast at all. It was a very clean, safe stay with lots of restaurants nearby. Clean Hotel Great Area
Jun 29th, 2020
I spent two nights at the Residence Inn and found their staff to be very welcoming and helpful. The room was perfect, modern appliances and comfortable bed. Upon check in I was pleased to see that every employee is wearing a mask when around guests. I wish the guests would have worn masks around other guests! I appreciated the info sheet distributed at check in explaining all of their Covid protocols. While they are not current offering lobby breakfast, they are delivering items to rooms. I wish they would have had more options, but I understood that these are crazy times and they are doing the best they can. The area around the hotel is wonderful, just about any food and shopping option you can think of. Looking forward to returning when we can get past all of these restrictions. But how one handles a crisis is a great demonstration of a solid foundation. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
