Great RI!

Dec 2nd, 2019

My family likes to stay at RI brand... extra room, etc. This time we had a 2 BR/2 bath suite. Furnishings were clean and not beat up. Breakfasts were the usual RI fare. Staff were friendly and helpful... Peter at the front desk even put together a tray for me! Easy drive to Newport and other activities. Reasonable prices compared to Newport. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Amazing First Experience with a Residence Inn

Nov 24th, 2019

What a wonderful place to stay with Family. Yes, we did get "upgraded". My daughter had her own room ! I was a very sad "hold-out" kicking and screaming about the merger from Starwood ( a long time member) to Marriott. But geez....this hotel...so friendly. Little things do count. Wall Street Journals...local papers...evening snacks. looks like now I am a happy Bonvoy member. Thanks, Residence Inn Newport Middletown.!!! Trip to Newport, RI

Nov 15th, 2019

We chose this hotel because of the great reviews. We are happy to confirm that this hotel is really clean. And reflects Marriott's costumer service. The place is quiet, the pool area is well maintained. The staff is very accomodating. Vanessa was kind and helpful. Breakfast was great. We enjoyed the hot tub, very relaxing. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great location...close to Newport & amenities

Nov 10th, 2019

Easy check-in. Lots of free parking. Very friendly staff. Our standard studio with kitchen was spotless, comfortable and had everything we needed. Good fast wi-fi. We asked for a pet-free floor due to allergies. Hotel was next to a Post Office & grocery store strip mall and an Applebys. Trail park was nearby & the fitness room was enough. Coin laundry was available. Nice that they offered a simple free breakfast buffet - we did not expect that. Easy ~10 minute drive into Newport. Half basketball court in the back - thought that was cool but we did not use it. 1st major cold spell of this fall season & the indoor pool with hot tub was closed our 1st night due to "additional chemical treatment needed". We were bummed but it was not a deal-breaker. Things happen. We enjoyed the pool/hot tub on the 2nd night. Our children enjoyed this hotel & the pool. Common areas of the hotel were clean and tidy. We will return here again in the future. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Fabulous weekend getaway

Sep 29th, 2019

We used points to stay at the Residence Inn to save money on our weekend visit to Newport. The room was ready for us upon arrival, which was 4 hours earlier than check in time. The room was a spacious king suite with a kitchen and living room area. Free breakfast included some decent choices e.g. waffles, oatmeal, fruit & yogurt. The staff was friendly and helpful. Newport was lovely and lively. We had great weather. Took a sailboat, went to Gooseberry Beach and managed to find cheap parking in the city. If you are willing to do a little extra walking then you can find cheaper parking further away from the center of town. The beach was free since it was September. Had a great meal at The Mooring in Newport too! Don’t get ice cream at the Newport Creamery because it’s a letdown. It was full of ice and not creamy at all. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
