It doesn't get any more central than this. The Reykjavík Konsulat Hotel is located just six minutes from Harpa, 12 minutes from either Hallgrímskirkja or the Sun Voyager monument, and a mere two minutes from the most popular bars, pubs, and restaurants the city has to offer. The Konsulat’s interior design conjures the Roaring Twenties by way of a matrimonial blend of Art Deco and contemporary Icelandic design. It's bougie. There's a full-service bar, a sauna that derives heat from geothermal activity, a small gym for people who only exercise when they're on vacation, and a breakfast buffet that abounds with vegan and gluten-free options. It’s the healthiest breakfast you'll ever eat. I won't go into detail about the rooms; there's no need. The photos are 100% accurate. One hundred, per cent, accurate. Excellent Hotel

Outstanding hotel. Check in and out went with ease, nothing too much trouble for the staff, exceptional. The decor created a warm and friendly atmosphere throughout, bar area relaxing and the complimentary drinks and finger food from 6-7pm were extremely welcoming. The room was perfect, very clean, quiet and nicely decorated. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Complimentary drinks in fridge was a lovely touch. Breakfast had a huge variety of choice, well presented and plentiful. This hotel is perfectly located, within minutes of restaurants, bars, the harbour and shopping. We highly recommend this hotel. Great Hotel

Great stay, close to restaurants, and shops downtown. Staff was excellent, food was great. the entire hotel was so clear. The rooms are very roomy and the bath room was very clean and well stocked. if in Iceland I recommend this place TRIPADVISOR.COM USER 

Great Location, A bit noisy

The hotel is in a great location relative to old town. We were able to walk from the hotel pretty much where we wanted to go. We ate dinner at the onsite restaurant and it was very good . I am a light sleeper and the noise from the streets were very noticeable inside the room with the windows closed. Also, there is no onsite parking and the police do give out parking tickets in the area. i received two TRIPADVISOR.COM USER 

Beautiful hotel

We had a fantastic 4 night stay in the hotel. Warm welcome in a modern comfortable hotel. Room was small but perfectly formed with modern luxurious furnishings that made for an exceptionally comfortable stay. Both breakfast and evening meals were excellent. Great stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
