Paradise in Rhiad Catalina

Mar 16th, 2020

Thank you so much for our wonderful stay at Riad Catalina, the place is an oasis of calm and such a relaxing place to stay. A special mention to Nadia and Mohamed who were so helpful and friendly during our week visit to Marrakech. We had a beautiful room upgrade with an adjoining terrace area overlooking the Koutoubia Mosque. We would not hesitate to stay here again, an ideal setting with great food and lovely staff. Many thanks Mark and Jennifer UK TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Beautiful Courtyard and location perfect

Mar 16th, 2020

My husband and I just got back after a 4 day stay and this was a wonderful place. Taxi dropped us at the first archway and we found it a bit difficult to find until a local helped and it cost us for the pleasure. It loos dreadful from the outside, but all Morrocan buildings are like this as we were told the beauty of the building is for its inhabitants. Truly spectacular and authentic. The rooms are tiny but we loved it. The staff were fantastic and couldn't help enough. We would definitely go back and be able to find our way around a bit better. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Beautiful Riad

Mar 15th, 2020

We stayed here at the beginning of March. The Riad is located just inside the medina. As soon as you walk down the lanes to get to the Riad the noise and chaos of the medina evaporate and you are left with peace and quiet. The Riad cannot be accessed by cars and most drop off occur outside of the medina although if you've booked transport they will ensure you are escorted to the Riad with your luggage. Inside the Riad is beautiful , the building is stunning . The dip pool on the sun allows you to enjoy the sun . Close to the markets and plenty of places to eat out and about and Marrakesh comes to life in the evening . You can buy beer and wine at the Riad and in many restaurants and the prices in restaurants and the market are very competitive and do not vary much in price . We had one meal at the Riad however wanted to explore more of the city. The staff are very attentive and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. The staff can offer advice and organise trips for you if required . Such lovely people . Our room was a standard double and was on the small side however despite that the room was clean and was cleaned every day with fresh towels . The breakfast was freshly squeezed orange juice , bread and preserves , pancakes and cakes with large jugs of tea or coffee. plentiful to set you up for the day . Fabulous location for our first trip to Morocco and we will definitely return TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A Peaceful Oasis

Mar 11th, 2020

Riad Catalina is the loveliest place to spend a holiday, from the moment my husband and I walked in through the heavy old door we felt relaxed. Inside is a peaceful oasis away from the Medina which is literally just outside. The staff looked after us kindly and attentively from start to finish. We had a double room on the second floor with windows overlooking the beautiful courtyard which was always kept immaculately clean for us by the maids. We ate in the Riad most of the time and found the food to be delicious and very reasonably priced too. I particularly liked sitting round the little pool on the top floor – I really can’t imagine a more peaceful place. We’ll definitely be visiting again! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Lovely riad

Feb 28th, 2020

Loved this riad,we stayed here with friends and we both stayed in the suites. Our suite had a large terrace with sunbeds and a patio table and chairs. The showers are a bit temperamental but you have to remember that this is a very old building. It us very close to the square but it is very quiet away from the hustle and bustle. Breakfast was lovely and I can recommend the white wine. The staff are really helpful and booked a trip for us. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
