do not stay here

Jul 18th, 2019

i have already submitted a review but i do not see it so if i repeat i apologize. many things went wrong on my vacation. 1. i had timeshare from friday june 28th to july 5th. i notified them that i would be checking in early on the 29th. they proceeded to rent my room for the 28th night and made me wait to check in to MY room. completely unacceptable. 2. when i did get to my room. there was half eaten food in the freezer and a dirty spatula and towel at my doorstep that i had to step over 3. pool was supposed to open at 8 am and it was never open at that time during my stay 4.vending machine did not work by the pool. there are many more thing that went wrong but i will just say, do not stay here. in their defense they did give me a 100 dollar voucher for a nice restaurant and the views are great again do not stay here. stay at one of the numerous places nearby thank you sandy TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Critters and blood stains and filth! OH MY!

Jul 17th, 2019

The first thing one will notice is The Ridge on Sedona is about 18 minutes from downtown (and outside Sedona city limits), but that isn't the end of the world. Next you will discover that this is not actually a hotel. It's a timeshare, and BOY do they want you to buy one. Still, one might overlook the hard sell tactics of the often rude "concierge desk" employees, where unsuspecting guests are directed to collect their "discounts" and any information about the town, because it would appear that the reception employees are clueless and have all just moved here. It might all be ok if the rooms weren't disgusting and the furniture weren't falling apart. The carpet had huge stains throughout the unit and the coffee table threatened to disintegrate if I looked at it sideways. Check-in was always blocked (forcing us to back down the sloped 180 degree driveway) and the building was riddled with holes from wayward golf balls. We had already decided that we needed to find another room when a small creature appeared scampering rapidly across our dining table. After moving three times (and a couple hours of back and forth), we finally thought things were ok. Then we opened the sofa bed. Diamond Resorts had previously said a manager would be contacting me about the earlier issues. Nobody came. When we discovered the blood and whatever else was on the mattress, I went looking for management (who had apparently decided the previous issues weren't important enough to address). When I got to the lobby I found another man who was also changing rooms because he too had discovered large blood stains on his mattress. I waited in the lobby until management returned. The manager offered to move me again...first into the room they had just given the other unhappy guest and then (when I pointed this out) they offered to move us into OUR ORIGINAL ROOM! It took more than an hour to get a refund (which I'm told could take weeks). My 9 year old finally got to bed at 11pm after we ultimately paid for and moved to another hotel. Way to go Ridge on Sedona Golf Resort! #RidgeOnSedona #RidgeOnSedonaGolfResort #DiamondResorts #biohazard #CustomerServiceFail My suggestion. Don't do it! I wish we had stayed elsewhere and will not make this mistake again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Many things to discuss.....

Jul 4th, 2019

First the Bad....As many have said, since this is a Diamond Resort International Time Share Property, be prepared, regardless if you reserved thru Air B&B, to listen to the sales pitch. Long time to check in since only one person was doing this while 4 "concierge" people standing doing nothing are just waiting to attack. So after 20 minutes to check in, you are just about tackled to listen to the "concierge" offer you "I only am allowed to offer this 8day/7night package once a day..." Yet EVERYONE in front of you has the same brochure. Even though I am in sales, this is right out of the ABC(Always Be Closing), never take no for an answer playbook....BE AWARE! The Ugly/Not so Ugly...Large rooms with a patio..but as many have said, seems to be a lack of effort on providing a clean product. I understand there are many insects around, but time to make sure of the details just does not appear to be there. Outside, you could have maintenance with a blower clean steps and patio. Our balcony had many spider webs that could have been removed with a broom. Also and this is just a personal issue since I am a golfer, we had a balcony that would have overlooked the 16th fairway, 17th teebox and green, with views of the second green....except the only view we had was of TREES!! Why on a golf resort would you block this million dollar view with over grown trees????? Also, when calling the golf pro shop, you get an answering machine asking to leave your name and number. Guess who calls back....the "concierge"...WTH!!! They say that they are the ones who take tee times. And of course if you take the "preview", we can provide you discounted greens fees. The Good....The Golf Course and Josh. Since we were on a family vacation, there was very little time for golf, yet my son and daughter persuaded me to join them and play nine one evening. Josh, the Golf Services rep got us set up. He provided customer service that everyone at this Resort should be striving for. He told us to play the Whiskey 9 and it could not have been a better experience. Granted I only have experience with nine holes but from what I saw this is a great resort course. Some challenging shots, but just a fun course to play, which it should be. I would enjoy playing this course everyday. This could be a great property to visit if the same effort was given to improving just a few things as much as there is in pressure sales. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Enjoy Sedona and the Area along with Golf, Hiking and Dining

Jun 30th, 2019

This resort is a timeshare, but books rooms to anyone too. They are condos and very comfortable. Walking distance to play golf as well as dining. The Hilton and it's restaurants are a short walk as well. Nice pool areas, views and a beautiful area to enjoy without all the crowds directly in Sedona. You can drive to Sedona in 15 mins or less depending on traffic. In addition, from this venue you are situated to easily go back to the HWY and head to Flagsttaff without fighting the Sedona traffic. Great location. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Not a hotel

Jun 28th, 2019

Don’t stay here. This place had high pressure time share sales when you check in. It’s not a hotel. It’s like an apartment. You can hear everything, and everyone upstairs and outside. There’s no room service. There’s no bar/restaurant. There is nothing at this so called hotel. Any food or any shopping you have to drive. Check out time is 10am instead of usual 11am. I will not be staying here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
