Great location and amenities

Jun 3rd, 2020

Stayed here for a few nights to get away from busy Chicago and absolutely loved it. We did arrive around noon after driving a 9 hour drive overnight so we’re pretty tired when we got there. We attempted to check in early numerous times but no luck till 4pm. This is the only thing I could complain about really. The condo was great. Fully stocked with anything you could want. The pools were beautiful and enjoyed the lazy river a lot. Condo was clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend and will definitely stay here again. May want to Mention that you can exchange towels at desk for free. We didn’t know that could be done and had to keep washing towels in the in unit washer dryer. Only a few small things to fix and was overall a fantastic stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great location!

Mar 5th, 2020

We had a condo on the river and enjoyed our view. Everything appeared to be really clean. Comfortable bed. Everything provided including a corkscrew. If you don’t want to pay $40 a day to get your room cleaned I suggest bringing extra towels and wash cloths. There was a washer and dryer in our unit. The decor was dark and gloomy. Lights were yellow. Not conducive to reading. TV in living room and bedroom. The walk in shower was terrific! Jets in middle. Rain shower heads on each end. The only problem was on check out. We were not given a receipt with breakdown and I requested one when we checked out. The clerk got an attitude and was adamant that we had been given one. No we had not. She wanted us to know that she had been there longer than anyone and that she knew everything. Lol. She kept trying to print a receipt but she said it wouldn’t let her. Finally someone came from the back office and said do you know you’re printing multiple receipts back here? So she looked embarrassed and said here. Take them all. So we got several copies. But we won’t let one rude person keep us from coming back. Just to note: don’t try to check in before 4. Even if your room has been cleaned it takes a long time before it’s inspected and you’re allowed to check in. Also they allow pets. That’s a plus. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Refund Policy

Mar 1st, 2020

We were traveling from WI and the day before we were supposed to leave our daughter came down with the flu. Instead of traveling with the flu, we decided to cancel our reservation and it ended up costing us $248. I get having a policy but when you're not fully booked and you have over 24 hour notice, it shouldn't cost that much to cancel because of illness. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Awesome resort

Feb 9th, 2020

My bride and I, along with our three sons, decided to take a quick weekend getaway to Pigeon Forge and stay at the River Stone Resort. Upon arrival, we couldn’t have been more thrilled with the accommodations. The room was more like an apartment. We could literally live here. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything we need, the bedrooms and bathrooms are large and spacious. The shower is big enough for two ;) and the whole place was super cozy. There were a couple of downfalls though. First, we found out there is no daily housekeeping, not a huge deal for us but we would have liked to know that ahead of time. Second, there were a few things in disrepair in the room. The tile in the shower is coming up and we had about 8-10 small tiles we gave to management to show them what was happening. There was a light in the bathroom that flickered the whole time, and the chain on one of the window blinds was broken. That is why I gave a 4 star instead of a 5 star. Not big issues, just small inconveniences. Overall, we will stay here again. The pool was warm and spacious, the kids loved that. So we will be back for sure. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Quick Getaway

Dec 16th, 2019

Last minute trip to Dollywood for the holidays. We decided on Riverstone based on proximity to Dollywood. It is very convenient to the park and also Patriot Park where you can catch the trolley to the park. Only issues I had with the property was the obvious water leak issue in the bathroom. There was an actual mushroom growing on the ceiling. Otherwise the stay was pleasant. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
