My husband and I visited River City Casino earlier this week. We did notice that there were a good number of River City workers roaming the casino floor and telling the customers to pull up their face masks to cover their mouth and nose. However the big time down side of requiring customers to wear face masks is that River City is ALLOWING smoking and when the customers smoke they exhale the smoke along with any and all germs they have in their system and that air is shared by all the other customers in the casino. If they are allowing smoking then wh7y require a face mask? TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Don’t go during COVID!

Not sure why they bother to open when there is minimal restaurant service available, no maid service, valet, or gift shop. There’s still Easter decorations in the windows. No one answers the phone if you need something or have a question. It’s ok to take your mask off to smoke and there are way too many smokers but don’t try to drink a coke because no less than 3 people yelled at me. Unbelievable TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I have visited River City a several occasions since there re-opening. The property is spotless and they made every attempt to keep the players as safe as possible. I like the dealers and the players. Very good experience. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

My favorite casino in town

Went back after covid--was stopped and asked before entering, "Are you sick? Have you been around anyone sick"? So be prepared to wait in line to get in. But once inside, I'd say 90% weren't wearing masks. It's a different experience. All but one restaurant is closed. They did give me a coupon for free food, which was nice. The machine payouts seemed about the same. What's different? About half the machines are turned off though some have plexiglas between them--which I really liked! Not being a smoker meant the smoke went up and away. Loved that! The drink kiosks are all shut down and they had 1 waitress for the entire casino! It took calling service twice to finally get a glass of water and cup of coffee. Think they should open the drink kiosks! It's a different experience--much more quiet, much more empty. Much less staff. I talked to an employee who said half the staff has been furloughed. So sorry! So they're doing everything they can to keep expenses low and keep the machine payouts the same. Which I applaud. Bottom line? I think they are just trying to stay afloat until the covid is over. Frankly--after being closed up for months, it was nice to get out :) TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
