We stayed here for 2 weeks while we were waiting to move into our new home. We loved the room, which was spacious, well-maintained, and had a view of the river. Wife and daughter spent most of their time in the hot tub and pool area, which are in an indoor atrium-like building. Both the front-desk and diner service were impeccable - servers were great with our picky daughter. Food was great and the bar is fun. We now send our visiting family and friends here. My husband and I stayed for two nights and our experience was amazing!! The room was gorgeous, spacious, clean, and even had a fireplace and view of the Deschutes River. We dined at Currents inside the hotel and had exceptional service, and outstanding drinks and meals every time. I highly recommend this hotel!! I was very disappointed after all the reviews seemed so positive. First impression was very nice. I had dinner in the restaurant and order the filet. It was cooked perfect. However I am a meat and potato kind of guy an the dinner comes with cooked carrots and Kale. I told the waitress to same the restaurant some money and please leave these items off the plate. When I received the dinner with a stack of mash potatoes, then carrots and kale and then the steak in one big pile. I picked my way through. Then the big no no! I was sitting in my room in the evening watching tv and the door opens and in walks some lady. No knock on the door, no announcement. When I got up asked what the hell was going on she just turned around and walked out. I called the desk and was put on hold. After several minutes I explained what had happen and they said they would look into it. The front desk called back 30 minutes later and really had no explanation. They said this was not the protocol for an employee when entering the room. After this event I used the extra lock on the door not knowing who was walking around with master room keys and took all valuable with me when I left the room. Place is very nice but be aware of the service and personnel. This place did not give me the warm and fuzzy feeling. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
A lot of small issues that added up

We were really looking forward to staying at this hotel during our first trip to Bend, but experienced many small issues and would probably look elsewhere before returning. We received several text messages from the virtual concierge prior to our arrival and texted them about 40 mins prior to our arrival to let them know that we would be arriving early prior to checkin time. The text was never answered except for an automated text telling us to call (why offer the texting service if you are not able to follow through with it and prefer people call anyway?). When we got to the hotel 40 mins late the front desk said she was just going to “jingle us back”. Room was not ready (that is fine we were early) and gave us time for a quick hike near by. Did receive a call that room was ready about 10 mins before checkin time. We had paid extra for a riverfront room and when we first got to the room the first thing we did was go to open the screen door and it fell off the track. The door was very bent and we were not able to get back on. We texted the desk to let them know that it should be fixed prior to the next guest as we did not want anyone to enter our room (because covid) and there was no apology offered, just a “thanks for letting us know!” The more time we spent in the room the more issues we noticed. There were bugs throughout the room both dead and alive, the bed looked like someone had sat in it prior to our arrival, the hvac system didn’t appear to be working, and the patio railing was bent and had posts missing. We do not have kids, but could be really dangerous for any family with small children and it would be easy for them to fall through. This hotel has potential, but we were disappointed that because of these small issues they did not live up to it. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Riverhouse. The grounds are really quite beautiful with a river splitting the property. The motel style rooms are above average with very comfortable beds. Riverhouse has rooms that are designated Pet Friendly. It seemed that the Pet Friendly rooms are in the same wing so we were not overly concerned about noise from our dog. The food at Currents was fantastic for both Dinner & Breakfast. Weather permitting, I recommend sitting outside as their patio runs along the river. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
