Pets 20lbs or less ONLY

Dec 22nd, 2018

On November 3, after 69 hours of looking for our missing best friend Derrik, who was found dead in the mountains, we came to this hotel to sleep. We arrived at 3am. Though the website states pet friendly, the caveat not stated on the website, is under 20lbs. When I arrived, they would not let us check in. I explained the situation. I pointed out how we really needed sleep and he refused to let us check in with my pet that is not under 20 lbs. There was nothing on the website to indicate that upon arrival, a man would hold up a piece of paper that says pets under 20lbs only and turn us away. Afterward, I asked for a refund since he wouldn't let us stay there. He wouldn't give me a refund. I have now lost $72 from a night I didn't get to spend at this hotel after a traumatic 3 days. This was one of the worst days to turn human beings away from sleep. I will always remember that Quality Inn is the kind of place that will take your money, not consider the humane thing to do, and not let you stay there. A refund would have gone a long way after they made us leave at 3am because of a few lb discrepancy in my peaceful old dog's weight. Not human. Not kind. Not good business. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great experience

Dec 6th, 2018

Clean, friendly, all amenities I needed. Breakfast was not just continental as advertised but although standard was well prepared. And comprehensive. Waffles, suasage, fresh fruit, cold milk, hot coffee. Much more. All excellent. Beds fluffy and comfy. The best thing was friendly helpful staff and I only paid 60 dollars for downtown Salt Lake. Best value I’ve found in a long time. I only comment when I’m real happy or real pissed off. This time I was so happy that I spent time writing this though I’m in a hurry. Oh yeah and BIG tv. I expected budget hotel and although I wouldn’t call this luxury my service and comfort compared to a much more expensive place. And yes I am a regular single woman in SLC for medical reasons. Stay here and save the bucks of the 100+ places. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Near Downtown

Oct 3rd, 2018

We booked this hotel so that we could be close to downtown and also have easy access to the airport. The person who checked us into the hotel was very friendly and nice. The lobby was clean and inviting. I think perhaps this hotel has changed hands because somethings like the elevator looked like it needed redecorated. The room that we had was clean, the bed was comfy, good pillows. We had no problem parking in the lot behind the hotel. The back entrance was secure and we didn't feel unsafe. We did have the breakfast the next day. They had eggs and sausage links, cereal selection was limited, but it was adequate. It was affordable and I felt that we had a better experience than some people shared. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Do TerrA Up the night!

Sep 30th, 2018

Stayed at this hotel for 5 days during the doTerra national convention. The interior is tired and need to be majority updated, even the fake flowers in the lobby are dying..,,The walls are paper thin so pray you don’t get Noisey neighbors like I did. They were tearing up the place till 2 am most nights. Front desk did nothing! Oh ya my friend and I got up early one morning and bumped into one of their employees washing his hands in the dirty front fountain. In casual conversation we asked why he Was up so early and he told us he was cook! Yuk no complementary breaker for us! Cheap accommodations for a popular convention... what’s the saying you get what you pay for! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Terrible Hotel

Sep 26th, 2018

My wife and I stayed at this hotel the night before a medical procedure in SLC. I gave it 1 star because no stars was not an option for this review. The motel was exceedingly noisy with other guests roaming the parking lot and hallways, talking VERY Loudly with room doors slamming until very late. Our room was poorly maintained...the heater/AC looked like it was about to fall off the wall, with the thermocouple hanging from underneath. We had about 1/4 roll of TP and only 3 Kleenex in the box. The room had not been rigorously cleaned from previous guest(s). The only plus was it was very convenient to downtown SLC. We had initially made a reservation for 2 nights, but decided to check out after only 1 night. Additionally, the nightly rate they charged us was equivalent to a luxury hotel...this place was way below any budget motel I have stayed at recently and the bed and pillows were terrible! Very poor choice for a motel! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
