one night was all i could stand. this was dirty, towels smelled. shower dirty. door pulled two inches from frame and let in air and light. drapes were half down and was propped up by night man. no drapery hooks on the falled down drapes. towel rack laying on sink would not give me second night money back as I told the nigh man was not styaing 2nd night after we saw room. I am filing complaints with Roadway Corp and this is the dirty, nasty motel and if you stay here you will be treated like a criminal. Jail cells are cleaner and safer. two men stood outside our door at 2 am trying to see in though the broken drapes. called front desk and no answer. please do not stay here sleeping in your car would beat this motel hands down. i am trying to get a refund on my second night. was afraid to leave possessions in room TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Photos deceiving, unclean AVOID

Nov 25th, 2018

Showed up after a long flight to find out ‘hotel’ that we had booked through a travel agent was a fairly disgusting motel that didn’t resemble the pictures we’d seen online. We’d also received a warning about the safety of the area it was located from a local on our flight. The room smelt off, and the low battery warning on the fire alarm was beeping, my partner didn’t feel safe to wait alone in the room while I went to see about swapping and so The next half hour was spend trying to find a hotel that wasn’t fully booked. A great value!

Fear not, frugal travelers. Looks can be deceiving. Booking inexpensive accommodations for a long weekend in Nashville is daunting unless you'll take a single room in someone's house. I prefer a hotel when I'm on my own so I waded through a few pages of $250-$300 a night hotels until I saw that Rodeway Inn on Murfreesboro Pike was less than half that price. It's on the way from the airport to downtown and it's right off the 41 freeway. The picture looked good so I took it. When my Uber dropped me off in front I was disappointed to see that the picture was not a photo of this motel. It didn't look like it was even up to the caliber of Motel 6---more like Motel 3.5. But I was wrong. Yes, the hotel is rather ugly, the rooms are dated and the location isn't great but the room was spotlessly clean, the crew efficient and Tasha at the desk was as welcoming and sweet as anyone you'd find at a Hilton. The promised "breakfast" was a brown paper bag consisting of a tasty packaged chocolate muffin, fruit cocktail, a breakfast bar and a bottle of water---totally non-corporate but totally perfect down to the note from Tasha printed neatly on the bag---true southern hospitality and charm at best. The lesson here is not to judge a book by its cover becomes sometimes you get more than you pay for. Edit review Remove review TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Use good judgment. This place is old and not worth the risk. As a police officer, my suggestion is to not stay at this hotel. Something should be done about this false advertising. The place isn't clean and appears to be unsafe. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We had a good stay at this hotel

Nov 26th, 2017

This is a budget hotel that was probably built in the 1970s, but our room had clearly been repainted and recarpeted within the last few years. This hotel isn't the Ritz, but it is clean and neat, which is what we wanted. And, they have smoking rooms, which is critical for us. Two ashtrays were provided in the room. We stayed at this hotel over the Thanksgiving weekend. We found the area to be safe, and the hotel's parking area is well lighted. We were out late (past midnight) on Friday night and did not feel at risk when we were going back to our room. When we checked in on Thanksgiving day (about 3:30 pm), the lady at reception was very nice and provided us with a map of Nashville. Our room (243) was on the second floor. (Be aware that there is not an elevator, so you need to be able to carry your own bags up one flight of stairs, if necessary.) The room and bathroom were clean. There was good water pressure for the shower, with no waiting for the water to get hot. The bed was a little soft, but my wife's back did not hurt in the morning. The TV gets LOTS of channels, including multiple cable channels. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay at this hotel, and we will stay there again when we go to Nashville to visit friends. It is a good deal for the price. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
