Wonderful hotel, amazing staff!
Nov 3rd, 2020
We have stayed a couple of times at this lovely hotel during the recent years and have loved every single stay! We both have Hilton Diamond memberships and have visited quite a many Hilton (and also other) properties during the past years so know where to compare. This summer, we stayed at Rome Cavalieri in early August, and despite all the coronavirus restrictions, they managed to make our stay a special one. Special thanks from that stay go to head waiter of the Uliveto Restaurant, Mrs Alessia, as well as pool bar waiter Manuel. They both really made our stay with their personal and friendly attitude! Thank you so much!!! Now, I had the honour to stay again at the hotel at the end of October and, us both once more now, in the beginning of November (staying here right now, while writing this review) - and wow have we blown away with the quality of service we have experienced here! First of all, Mrs Alessia recognized me last week and even remembered my name, after almost three months from our previous stay in August! And, do note this - even when I was now wearing a mask! She really made my day! So happy to meet her again! Also, this time we were both happy to be greeted by front office manager, Mr Nicola, who was so polite, nice and kind. And, he also remembered my name and even what we had been talking about on previous occasions. Like I said, the hotel itself is a wonderful place to stay in, but it's especially these amazing individuals who make your stay here a very special one - it really feels like coming back home! Thank you so much, can't wait for our next stay here at Rome Cavalieri! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
The perfect antidote to a lifes stresses.
Oct 13th, 2020
We stayed for a full week and it was the perfect antidote to what has been a very stressful year. Our first trip away in over 18 months and we felt coddled from the moment we arrived. We were contacted in advance by the hotel to encourage us to share any requests we may have had. We enjoyed the breath taking views of Rome, relaxation was the order of the day and as this was a return visit we decided to explore the local area. Just a short drive away the fresh market was a joy to behold. The concierge pointed out to us a local deli where we bought some of the best cheeses I've ever tasted. This is a luxury hotel and I encourage future guests to take advantage of their extensive knowlege to discover the best this magical city has to offer. The rooms are traditionally decorated and spotlessly cleaned, I felt very secure with regards to covid in every single part of the building. Breakfast has changed as has the the executive lounge. These are temporary and more than sufficient. I would have liked to see the lounge hours extended from 8am to 8pm. It would have liked to escape my room in the morning for a coffee when the other half was enjoying a lie in. Lastly, an extra special thanks to Lynn Knudsen, executive assistant, it was our pleasure to say hello in person and your interest in our stay just made it ever more special. You are a credit to the Hilton name and along with the entire team at the Cavalieri, ensure that the needs and satisfaction of guests remains their primary objective. Don't hesitate to make The Cavalieri your home in Rome, you won't be disappointed! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Five star four day trip
Oct 7th, 2020
Please ignore some of the petty comments I have read from other reviewers who presumably haven't read up on the hotel and facilities. Yes, it is out of town but there is a free luxury shuttle bus on the half hour during the mornings and afternoon, plus a return bus on the hour, the last from town being 9 pm. Yes, here are clear perspex screens around the breakfast buffet which is served by the charming staff. Have these reviewers not heard of Covid19 and the extra precautions hotels are having to take?! Yes, some restaurants and bars in the hotel are closed Sunday and Monday, but many other establishments are too. It's all on the website. Just do the research. We have two lovely rooms on the 8th floor, balcony and city views. Housekeeping exemplary. Wonderful beds, bed linen and towels - all, plentiful and more on request. Spotless bathrooms. Breakfast was excellent, by the pool the first three days as the sun was so warm for October. Great choice and quality, four fresh juices option every day - carrot juice delicious. Plentiful fresh cut fruit and whole fruit - wonderful peaches and plums. Similarly great choices of hot, cold cuts, cheeses, breads and pastries. All served in accordance with covid19 guidelines, so be patient if you have to wait a little. Charming checkin by Nicola. Prosecco, treats and birthday cake in our room for our special trip. Good pod coffee maker. Staff so charming and pleasant, made restaurant and bar bookings and just so helpful. We will return next June. Excellent pool and pool hygiene TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
When it’s so quit you expect better service
Oct 3rd, 2020
Just arrived today and walked around, looking for a place to have a drink and relax. On the Rooftop bar/restaurant we were litterly been sent away with the message “this is a private “area” The restaurant was closed and we told just to want to look around on the terras. Very unfriendly. Than on the ground floor. Pool area closed....chairs/baar everything. Sitting on a chair outside next to the bar was not possible due to the rain (what rain?) eventually we escaped to our room. I’ve been to more steigenberger Hotels, this was not worthy of the formulae. Keep hospitaly and service on a high level in all circumstances. This is not the way we want to spent our hollidays. Very nice but expensive
Sep 28th, 2020
Managed to land a very good road through the hilton website and with the complimentary upgrade for being a diamond member was well worth the price (cheaper that the curio in town). Benefits were limited for a being a diamond member- no lounge access, but were did get the spa and pool which was nice. Breakfast was good if not a little odd and it was served behind screens. The selection was good and top quality. Our trip landed at the same time as the ATP tennis championships which meant some time was spend chatting to the players and coaches who were all very polite and made a welcome change from the usual celeb spotting. For some Plus points the staff we extremely welcoming and helpful whether it was getting a taxi, shuttle or getting another cocktail. Very special thanks go to the staff and maître d' of the Uliveto restaurant you made our stay very pleasant. The hotel is loaded with all sorts of fine art and object d'art, well worth have a look at. Lastly a tip if you need a less expensive bottle of wine, some milk or packet of biscuits. Try the supermercato elite around 5 to 10 minute walk. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
