Great room with a few quirks

We stayed here for a week and really enjoyed the lovely rooms, city views, and fast elevators. Everything was clean and sparkling, and the rooms had AMAZING counter space and lighting! The hotel is in a good location, is not too far from restaurants, and has multiple skyway bridges connecting it to the convention centers and other hotels. This was great for getting steps in before our events! Unfortunately, access to the fitness center was not included in the room rate. For the price you're paying, an additional charge for that is inexcusable. We were staying here for a large event and appreciated how well the hotel coordinated with our group. It made for an enjoyable week without too many worries. The wifi worked great, and the rooms were quiet for getting work done during the day. Parking was easy with the huge private garage (although the parking fees would've been crazy if our group rate hadn't covered them!) We would have loved to have a microwave in the room. When you're staying in Orlando for a week, food gets expensive quickly. Without a microwave, you can't reheat leftovers or prepare the occasional frozen dinner. The AC unit in our room was also a bit of a brat haha! We couldn't seem to control it with the wall thermostat, so it was freezing cold for a while. I was able to wedge my hand inside the unit's box to manually control it, but it still turned on and off constantly. We overall enjoyed our visit and would definitely stay here again in the future. We appreciated the pleasant staff and great atmosphere! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Getting to my convention was super last minute altered & didnt have a room. Trivago saved the day with cost & since it changed to a solo trip it placed me exactly where I needed to be for the quickest stroll without dealing with driving & parking! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I'm a guest at this hotel now - checked in today and went straight to a meeting and then to dinner. Shortly after arriving in my room I say a roach crawling on the ledge near the TV. The little type of roach that is from uncleanliness - not the big palmetto bugs that sometimes make their way indoors. It disappeared before I could even try to kill it but I it reappeared and I got him. Hoping it was an isolated problem I sat down at my computer and another appeared! That's it - called the desk and several seemingly unconcerned members of the staff eventually connected me with security who asked if I wanted another room. Of course I do! A very pleasant bellman arrived to move my luggage and he was the first person to offer an apology for the situation. The next room had such a strong chemical odor that the bellman did not take my luggage in and took me to the front desk for another room assignment. I'm relocated and, so far, no bugs! Thankfully! I'm looking forward to the end of my meeting and checking out - not to return. There are hotels everywhere here on International Drive. I'm sure you can select one that is clean and bug-free. No Rosen Centre recommendation from me. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Completely incompetent management

I booked in a party of six for a conference at the Rosen Centre. I booked it two months in advance and then reconfirmed two weeks in advance. Three of the party checked in (which was slow but not problematic). The. One of my party arrived late after a trans Atlantic flight. However they refused to check him in because they insisted I was present with my card. I was in bed but spoke to the desk and then a manager. I told them I’d already presented my card to them five times. However they wouldn’t budge and suggested he try a different hotel. So I had to get out of bed, get dressed and go to reception so they could see my card a sixth time. I spoke to a different manager the next morning who took a very long time to say basically sorry, that’s how it works. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
The Wonderments of Rosen.

Rosen Center is a great place to stay. If I ever find myself in Orlando, I will definitely be staying in the Rosen Center again. I stayed on the 14th floor. The a.c. was so cold I had to keep adjusting it up during my 6 day stay. The water conservation model toilet is terrific and 17" tall, which is easy on my knees. The hot water is plentiful and the shower head is somewhat weak but asjustable. The entire property is exceptionally clean, neat and well maintained. I saw building maintenance guys working on stuff often. If something breaks down, they get it fixed without delay. The pool area is the star of this show. Plenty of chairs and towels and Florida sun. The only disappointment was there is no incentive to reuse towels and sheets. I don't need new linens every day. Others in the hospitality business offer meals or other perks for not requiring clean towels and sheets every day. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
