Best stay-cation ever!

Sep 28th, 2020

We spent 2 nights here to celebrate my birthday. We were very pleased with our room with a lovely view and appreciated the big soaking tub with bath salts, the Nespresso machine, the tea kettle with an assortment of teas. I was worried it wasn't a resort for children as we have 2 children aged 9 and 11 but we were pleasantly surprised that they had pools for the children and pools for adults and kids 13 and up. The food was amazing and probably the best hotel food we have ever experienced in Bermuda. Room service arrived within 30 minutes and they accommodated our request for gluten-free pancakes and french toast. Our best meal was Sul Verde - everything was so fresh and full of flavor and again they were very accommodating with gluten-free options. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. These are not easy times as everyone adjusts during the pandemic but we always felt safe and really appreciated this quick get away. I would highly recommend Rosewood Bermuda but just wish we had stayed longer! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Still the best luxury resort in Bermuda

Sep 26th, 2020

I reviewed this property a few years ago and just returned from a stay in September with my wife. I was very impressed with the level of services they are offering in the middle of the Covid crisis, particularly relative to other hotels I've stayed at in recent months. Everything except the fitness center is available -- by Bermuda law the fitness center is only available to travelers who have been in Bermuda for 8 days or more so that would eliminate it for most people, but not due to any fault of the hotel. Food service is restricted in the main part of the hotel; dinners are not served there, and most days of the week no bars are open past 4pm. However we were able to order drinks from room service and have them delivered to the public seating areas so that was not a big problem. Otherwise, the Rosewood has a number of compelling advantages over other luxury properties in Bermuda: 1) Great rooms and public areas. The rooms are spacious, with great beds, bathrooms, and outdoor spaces. All the luxury amenities you'd expect are offered, including in-room Nespresso. 2) The best hotel beach in Bermuda. The beach is both wider and longer than most other hotel beaches, with plenty of room for people to spread out. Service at the beach was generally quite good even during Covid. 3) Nice public spaces (both indoor and out). 4) Relatively central location making it easy to get to Hamilton and most other places. 5) A "Bermuda" feel, particularly relative to the Loren, which feels like it belongs in Miami Beach. When you are at the Rosewood you know you are in Bermuda; it has a sense of place that not all properties here offer. The service was, overall, significantly better than on my last stays. When we made requests, they were quickly and efficiently honored. The style of service is not as proactive as what you'd get in a luxury hotel in Asia or even the Caribbean; you need to ask rather than expect to be offered, but when you do ask, the responses are fine. Bermuda is, during Covid, one of the few places outside the US that Americans can safely and easily visit. We are already planning a return stay for later this year. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Honeymooners heaven!

Sep 16th, 2020

We had an amazing time at the Rosewood for our honeymoon. They went above and beyond to make us feel special and celebrated in so many ways. As this is a luxury resort we had very high expectations of the service and inclusions, all of which were met. We were impressed with the Rosewood and the country of Bermuda for the extra precautions taken due to COVID and felt safe the entire time we were there. Those traveling to Bermuda for the first time should note that everything there is SO expensive, be prepared to spend at least $100 for most meals. Also, due to COVID you must take a test upon your arrival and every subsequent 5 days that you are in the country. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Wonderful (SUPER SAFE) Vacation

Sep 9th, 2020

First of all let me start by saying how impressed I am with the incredible work that the Bermuda government has done in order to ensure the health and safety of the people that live and are visiting the island. I felt incredibly safe and that enhanced the already incredible vacation. The Rosewood property was an immaculate piece of paradise that exceeded my expectations. During these COVID times I’ve been to Key West and San Diego where hotels have reduced their staff and services to the minimum. That is NOT the case at Rosewood Tucker’s Point in Bermuda were luxury and comfort are a priority. All pools, restaurants, amenities and even the spa are opened, this made the stay really feel like this was an actual vacation as opposed to just a restrictive trip that makes you feel depressed because everything is closed. The room was gorgeous with a beautiful balcony overlooking the water, and the most glorious bathroom/bathtub setting you’ve ever seen. The room amenities by Aerin were delicious and intoxicating... please note the scent called “coral palm” is exclusive to the property so make sure you grab an extra body lotion because this is the only place in the world where you can get it. Believe me, you will understand when you smell it. It’s amazing. All the restaurants in the property are awesome. The food highlights for me were: - for breakfast at the brasserie: iced coffee and chocolate chip pancakes with a side of extra crispy bacon. I literally had this every day because it was the perfect combination. - for lunch: one of the fresh salads and a pizza diavola from the Italian inspired restaurant, Sul Verde. - for dinner: go to the beach club for a varied selection of dishes... I was lucky enough to secure a private dinner on the (also private property) beach which turned out to be the most magical evening of my life listening to waves crashing onto the coast, looking at the stars, and having an incredible meal paired with fantastic wine. We had tuna tartar, octopus, the sword fish, a local fish (sorry I can’t remember the name), lemon curd cake and chocolate cake... 5/5 stars. Amazing everything including the waiter Elvino who not only proved to be stellar at serving but also an incredible photographer as that’s his passion and hobby of choice. The pools and spa were incredible. The best part is that as there are three pools in the property, you never feel like they are over crowded. Then if you venture to the beach club you are able to use two other additional pools and of course the soft, pink sand beach were you can enjoy cocktails, swim, and even play volleyball if you are feeling like you need a break from eating and relaxing. The spa attendants are also amazing and they have an incredibly relaxing spa garden that will help your senses realign and your mind to slow down to achieve the most serene feeling you probably have had in years. Also, I almost forgot to mention, the conservatory bar inside the hotel was amazing. They specialize in gin drinks and you can get any kind of gin and tonic you can ever imagine. I was lucky enough to be part of a gin tasting with the head of beverage, this is something that seems to happen weekly, it was so eye opening! I learned... mainly... that I have been making my gin martinis wrong for years! Great little perk. All in all... go to Bermuda ASAP before the season is over, stay at Rosewood, and enjoy life the way it is supposed to be enjoyed. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Terrible service

Sep 2nd, 2020

Came here on vacation . Hotel understaffed and stuff who is there not well trained. Everything is an issue. Housekeeping was coming at 4:00 ,after we complained, was told that we need to specify time. Took 3 days to get someone to fix the safe in the room. Assign to our room golf cart one evening just disappeared from the garage . Would not recommend anyone to stay here . We have being charge for 5 star property and I wouldn’t even give it 3 TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
