The staff were extremely attentive and made our stay extremely nice. We felt very welcomed and taken care of. The staff always goes above and beyond. The restaurant Cut was closed because of a fire, but the bar was cozy with good cocktails. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
No hot water, no apology, rude staff, no communication

It was one of the worst experience of my travel life spanning 30+ countries. After some good experiences of hospitality at Rosewood NYC and Stanford properties, we decided to give it a try in DC although we had been pretty happy at Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons nearby. During the 4 night stay in Feb, we did not have hot water during the last two days. When I called the frontdesk for the problem, all I heard was they do not have night maintenance staff. Still no hot water the following morning, manager did not show up until 10ish in the morning when we checked out. We clearly stated the dissatisfaction and asked adjustment to be made to the bill. The staff said there was nothing she could do but made sure that the manger would get in contact with us. I have made effort to chase down and emailed them after we have returned home. No reply what-so-ever from the manager (Mr or Mrs Oyuku? ) NEVER NEVER stay here if you are in Georgetown! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Very nice hotel but service could be more personalized

Beautiful building. Very homy. Very elegant. Rooms are great. Very comfortable bed. Unfortunately my room didn’t have a bathtub but nice marble bathroom. Considering the size of the hotel and the price per night, the service could be more personalized and more attention to the guests could be expected. The pool on the roof top is amazing with a lovely bar. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Fantastic DC Hotel, Almost at the Rosewood standard

Overall simply fantastic. One of the best hotels I have stayed at in the U.S. Great location within minutes of central Georgetown and easy enough access to bus/subway to get to other parts of town. Yet it is secluded enough that you feel it is a hideaway from the hustle and bustle. Small, and intimate, feels more like a small residential building than hotel. Fantastic bedding and Bottega amenities. Nice rooftop with a small heated plunge pool/hottub and gym. Wonderful bar with pricey but great drinks, especially the cart service old-fashioned! I received a wonderful double upgrade to a Premier King Corner suite, and it was simply fantastic. Huge space, wonderful bathroom and bed. While no USB charging ports, the available charging ports are conveniently and smartly designed. A few things. Unfortunately the restaurant is closed until March, in the meantime there is no room-service or meals except a overly simple continental breakfast that is offered, honestly felt like more effort could have been put into this...ready-made boiled eggs...etc are available to provision surely? Nonetheless the staff from start to finish was apologetic about it. Further because of the lack of kitchen and room-service and because they are due for a mini-bar redesign, there was no mini-bar pricing guide or menu in the room, while yes all non-alcoholic beverages and snacks were complimentary, what if I wanted to enjoy the bottle of champagne or cocktails in my mini-bar but wasnt exactly sure how reasonably priced they were? Again, a quick phone call to the front desk and I found out all the info, and they were apologetic, but nonetheless, an interim print out or something cant be that hard to implement in the 40 or so rooms? Staff over all very friendly, welcoming and professional. You could tell there was an effort or good matured attempt to remember all guest by name and/or room number, so I appreciated that even if I was asked a few times just to confirm. Feels like doorman is understaffed as they were often not there, either off helping other guests or attending to another task, again very minor but again would elevate it to full international Rosewood standards. While personally felt that the placement of the front desk was a little odd, literally right in front of the elevator bank, I am not sure if there is really any other spot to put it in, except perhaps the main lobby area occupied by some armchairs near the fireplace. Just feels like the already limited space around the elevator is even more limited by the front desk and people checking-in, also feels less private when waiting for or coming out of the elevator. Otherwise, really cannot recommend this place enough, I had managed expectations as luxury hotels in the U.S. simply dont compare to that of other parts of the world, but this one comes very close. This hotel is a gem of Georgetown. loved it so much that we are going back. we were celebrating a marriage and a getaway for the weekend. We were so happy with the hotel, service team and everything about it. IT was over the top!!! the team that work there are really accommodating and kind!!!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
