We’d stay here again!!!

Aug 20th, 2019

Despite the mixed reviews myself and my wife decided to take a risk and book this hotel for 7 days. It’s safe to say it was a risk that worked out amazingly We couldn’t fault the staff or the service, staff were keen and friendly, they spoke French, Arabic and English, so communicating was always frustration free, the rooms were much larger than expected and were kept very clean. The pool was amazing staff did a brilliant job of cleaning it everyday. The breakfast selection was massive, over 20+ delicious fresh dishes to try out each day, including fresh omelettes made upon request. The staff hosted a bbq next to the pool which was so so tasty. The hotel is very family/couple friendly, we noticed almost all the guests staying were either couples or family’s, this really made the hotel feel cosy and lively but not too busy. The location of the hotel is perfect as it’s a 15 minute walk to the main markets (madina square/jama el fna). The hotel had a supermarket close by literally within 3 or 4 mins walking distance, which was fantastic when we needed to stock up on water bottles. It also had a food street containing McDonald’s, kfc, Pizza Hut and loads more near by, again a 10 minute walk from the hotel The hotel is very Muslim friend, so all the food selection is halal and burkinis can be worn in the swimming pool. Each night they had live entertainment downstairs which was very enjoyable and fun to watch The only downside to this hotel would be the extortionate rate they charge for bottled water, one 1.5L of water costs 30 dirhams from the hotel which is around £2.60 We found the same bottled water in the supermarket which is about a 3 minute walk from the hotel, priced at 4.5 dirhams which is roughly 40p. Meaning we could buy a full 6 pack of water for 27 dirhams (£2.30) where as the hotel were charging 30 dirhams (£2.60) for 1 bottle, with the weather being as hot as it is my wife and I were drinking easily 2-3 bottles of water each per day. Despite this the hotel the staff the service and the location was absolutely perfect, we’d definitely stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

AMAZING, MASSIVE ROOMS, KIND & HELPFUL STAFF

Jul 11th, 2019

Stayed here for one week end of June, was absolutely perfect, street view room, seen the sunset every night. Pool amazing, staff, friendly helpful polite had both french and English, food was tasty! GO TO SEE FATIMA IN THE SPA, she gave a facial and i came out looking 20 years younger. I cannot say enough about my beautiful experience in Royal Mirage and plan to return with my whole family next year! My kindest thank you to all at the Royal Mirage for making my stay so relaxing and preparing me for the rest of the year in rainy Belfast! Tracey Black TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A nice stay

Jun 8th, 2019

We stayed here for a short trip. The room was spacious, with a large balcony. Our favourite area was the pool - one can easily spend a few hours there every day. The breakfast was not extremely varied but it was okay. The room service was a bit slow. The location is quite good, not too far from the medina (if you don't mind a bit of walking, that is). Overall, it was a nice stay, we'd stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Not 5 star

May 21st, 2019

Currently staying here...read online reviews and chose this place but sadly it’s been a let down, in no shape or form is this place a 5 star hotel :-(. The gym looks like an abandoned site, the staff aren’t very flexible towards our very reasonable requirements which most 5 star hotels would tend to. maybe it is off peak and the hotel isnt firing on all cylinders, but the breakfast is t 5 starish either... no choice for vegetarians sadly and anything you ask for is chargeable.... we work hard to come here and enjoy a 5 star experience but this trip hasn’t felt that way TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Definitely NOT a 5 star hotel

May 10th, 2019

Staff very polite and helpful , entrance lobby beautiful and the pool area was big and clean Location great And the Negative points Rooms very old and dated need complete refurbishment as does the rest of the hotel apart from the lobby area Went for breakfast in the morning , hmm breakfast ! What breakfast ? Very very limited choice if any. Without doubt very disappointing Dedcided to use the gym , guess what half of the machines in disrepair, TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
