They have to do better

Jun 19th, 2020

I am in Orlando for 24hrs, I picked this hotel because it "appeared" to be held at a pretty good standard. Well was I fooled. Checkin went pretty well, they are under renovations so somethings are understandable. The resort fee was waived due to covid as well as the renovations. The hot tub isn't available but the heated pool is, also no breakfast is being served. Even with those mentioned items I wasn't bothered. It was when I walked into room 428 is where it all went downhill. We opened the door and got hit with a strong cigarette smell, strike one, this is "supposed" to be a smoke free building according to the signs posted throughout. Cigarette ashes on the office chair, so clearly the cleaning is at a Minimum... One pillow on a king size bed ONE! in one room with very wrinkled bedding. The other room with 2 Queens has no pillows Strike 2. Called the front desk spoke with Julianna (I think that's her name) she was very nice advised she would note the smoke smell and send house keeping. She advised that house keeping could spray something to get rid of the smell but we would have to leave the room for 2 hours. I advised her that would be an inconvenience especially just getting off a flight. She stated she did look for another room but none were available. I told her I would deal with the smoke just make a note on my record that the smoking didn't come from my family. As we left out this evening my husband noticed there were no shower curtains.. NOT 1 and we have 2 bathrooms in this room... What was house keeping doing? Why aren't there any shower curtains? I called the front desk again, she stated house keeping was gone for the evening, I advised her that we needed to shower. She stated that maintenance would be on the property by 10pm, they are the only one with access to where the shower curtains are. She advised she was the only one available, she did apologize. This is just beyond ridiculous, absolutely unacceptable. I spoke with customer relations who advised they would open up a case. They have to do better ASAP! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

So so

Jun 15th, 2020

Okay so admittedly our family usually stays at Intercontinental, Kimpton, Indigo, and Crowne Plaza properties (IHG Spire Ambassador level from frequent travel- so I’ve been to A LOT!), but this had low points and we had our dogs and kids so the suite seemed like a good idea. The suite was great! 2 beds and 2 baths, lots of closets and obviously newly redone. The floor could have been cleaner in the kitchen (spilled some water and when we moped it up the towel was black), but overall good. Check in was good but not anything to write home about. However, once you step outside the rooms- yikes! People sitting on the walkways smoking and drinking, cracks and scuffs everywhere, and the elevators seem like they are from the 80s (at best). The area is questionable, but the security seems okay. No breakfast, hot tub or nightly reception because they are “waiting for the health department” (I’m guessing because of Covid, but it would have been nice to get an email before check in- the one we got just said it “might” be impacted). We’ve stayed at a few other Staybridge properties (Anaheim and Charleston) and LOVED them, this was NOTHING like that. My understanding is that this used to be a comfort inn and that seems more right to me than an upper- level IHG property. If you can get it for less than 15,000 pts or $150/night I’d say yes- otherwise- I’d try a different property. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Really nice upgrades

Jun 6th, 2020

Been staying at Royal Parc Suites for 26 years. We were first guests in after shutting down for month of May. The upgrades by Staybridge are incredible. The lobby is completely new, and nice. The upgraded rooms are a step up from previous Quality Inn ownership. The pillows and mattresses are best we encountered in our travels. This along with the amazing pool area makes our favorite hotel all the better. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent Stay

Apr 30th, 2020

We had an excellent stay in March as we arrived the Covid crises was starting to unravel and the Hotel did a great job with cleaning. Before the restrictions the breakfast was excellent and at night they had the manager special drinks and snacks run by Shaggy and izzy who were excellent. Even as we checked out early the staff was excellent and she refunded the funds with no issue even thou we booked thru Hotwire Hidden deal. The rooms have been remodeled and were very nice. We had a two bedroom unit corner one which is tucked back in hallway which can get a little louder as it echos is someone is talking loud walking by so I would recommend not getting in the corners but this wasn't a big issue. Overall a great stay with excellent staff and hopefully all the staff can soon get back to work. Highly recommend and looking forward to going back TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

My all time favorite place.

Newly updated rooms with quality service. Plenty of space to have family and friends in for a vacation or on your own. Breakfast included!! I've been staying here for 15+ years and wouldn't change a thing. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
