Good location, service leaves a lot to be desired

Dec 9th, 2019

Good Location. Supermarket is nearby. There is a Laundromat just across the street which is open from 7 am to 9 pm. This is an advantage for long stays. Staff is cooperative. The coffee and croissants (free) were a great plus We booked 3 One Bedroom apartments, however the size of the 3 apartments were different. This is not very comfortable. This was not told to us from the start and the hotel staff was not acknowledging it when we told them as well. We had a big group (10 persons) and long stay (9 nights). Didn't get the expected service. All the apartments were equipped with different equipment, like one had glasses, while the other 2 did not. 2 had Sofa beds which would convert into double beds, one had Sofa bed which would convert into 2 single beds. Hot water kettle in one apartment was not working, it was reported repeatedly to the reception but not changed / serviced. The reception staff had almost no knowledge of the Tourism scene of the area. We had inquired with them for a Car rental and they suggested that we can rent 2 cars with drivers for our full trip for Euro 1200. This seemed very unrealistic which is why we checked multiple times with them. It was confirmed as many times by different staff. Finally when we confirmed that we will take it, the offer suddenly changed to Euro 1200 PER DAY!!!! Also we checked with the reception staff, the process to buy the tickets to Dignes, we were never told that they were told in the Train which leaves from a different station (other than Gare de Nice). The staff didn't say he doesn't know but confidently told us to go to Gare de Nice, this resulted in us wasting 2 hours. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Your average close to city center hotel

Nov 28th, 2019

Booked a suite for the four of us - 2 adults and 2 toddlers.  1st star for - good location, a block from the seafront/Promenade. 2nd star for - decent breakfast and self serve coffee machine available 24/7 3rd star for - decent space in the room. Balcony was a good size. Why I took 2 stars? Crazy noisy room. We had a room facing the balcony, so that may have added to the noise level. We could hear every sound, vehicles driving by. If you are a light sleeper, this will be an issue for you. Another issue is that the rooms are somewhat outdated - torn wallpaper, dim lighting, and not the most clean tub.  TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Ansar made my stay a delight

Nov 17th, 2019

We had a great stay. I especially like Ansar the night clerk hubba hubba. (hottie alert). Besides the eye candy he was so helpful and served my needs late night with extra pillows and ice.He also helped me open a bottle of wine that was stuck. The other staff were all very nice and accommodating. Location was great and just a few blocks from the beach. There was a laundromat two doors down which I used and really appreciated. It's weird you don't need soap you shove your laundry in and it puts the soap in and everything for like 4 EU. Don't use dryer #13 it steals money. Any way back to the hotel. The breakfast was one of the best ones out of all our stays. It had hard boiled eggs and I am into that versus all the bread and sweets at others. The rooms were comfortable and had all the necessary amenities including a fridge, coffee, blow dryer bathrobe, 2 pillows etc TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Perfect location to explore Nice and beyond

Nov 4th, 2019

Just spent a week at this gem of a hotel. Great location and good accommodation. Room was comfortable and well equipped with a small kitchen. Breakfast was included in our room booking and was very generous. Something for everyone. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Special thanks to Liliana and Alain who could not have done more for us and were so kind and thoughtful. We would highly recommend this hotel for your next stay in Nice. We will certainly be back. Good experience killed by rude staff

Nov 4th, 2019

We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights. The check in was smooth thanks to the front office gentleman named Alain. The location is very close to the promenade, the hotel is very vibrant, good breakfast and a free coffee vending machine in the lobby was a treat. Although, the rooms are terribly small for stays longer than 2 nights and most rooms have no great views. The bad part. On the last night of our stay when we came back from our day trip to Monaco, the hotel had decided to turn off the centralised ac and switch on the heater (but it wasn't cold at all) so the entire room was hot. When we approached the front office, the duty manager named Ansar showed characterless approach, told me to check out if you cannot stay in the room. When asked to make me speak with the hotel manager, this absurd man tells me who are you to talk to the manager. At one point in time he also told me that you are not a clean person, you are doing this for discount and also racially abused my nationality and my race in French (whatever broken french I understand) to the verge of complaining about him to the local police and the Indian Embassy, I was talked out of doing that by my wife as we still had a long trip ahead TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
