Avoid - be warned

Jan 16th, 2020

Booked an Allen suite room, 6th floor. Walked in, and saw a sectional couch in horrible condition. Disfigured cushions, stains throughout the couch. Picture a couch that gets offered for free on Craigslist, probably in that condition. We had a loud thumping music in our room until about 4am and that’s when we were finally able to go to sleep . We weren’t warned or asked or told that our room would be right under the bar club. Luckily we paid for late checkout at 2pm. 2:02 PM someone from the front desk was knocking on our door to make sure we were ready to exit. We were a few minutes late, but our whole morning afternoon was set back because we weren’t able to sleep until the wee hours of the morning. CANCEL your reservation unless you plan on indulging and partying in NYC until the wee hours of the morning. Don’t expect 4 star furnishings, or 4 star service. Their resort fee is silly, find a reputable hotel even if it will cost you a little more TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice Property

Jan 6th, 2020

This hotel has a nice property for the price. The area is lively and the rooms are modern and clean. My only complaint is they charge an "experience fee" of ~$30 a day. This fee makes more sense when the pool is open, but it should be reduced in winter when there is one less amenity. I know the fee is to offset the amount they charge, which is relatively low for how great it is, but it should vary depending on the season. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Best bang for your buck

The hospitality was A+ and Raul was top notch! Sixty LES is such a cool hotel and in a great location... Sushi bar on the 2nd floor was delicious and the 7th floor has a cool bar (just a younger crowd). Overall this hotel is a win because it’s in the Lower East side and you’re able to walk just about everywhere. Happy we made the decision to stay here. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Best service!

Nov 21st, 2019

I stayed at Sixty LES for 4 days and received the most amazing service. When we checked in a gentleman named Raul checked us in and carried our bags to our room without hesitation. When we checked out, Uber was surging +$100 to get to JFK! Raul went out of his way to walk down the street and get me a taxi for a flat rate of $52, just in time for me to make it to the airport on time. Excellent service- I will be back! Thanks Raul! Mixed experience

Nov 10th, 2019

We stayed at this hotel twice in one week - a 2 night stay with a one day break to visit family, then a one-night stay. We booked a suite which was nice and spacious, nice wet bar with coffee machine (we later found out not all rooms have coffee machines). The mini bar prices are truly ridiculous - like $60 for a $10 bottle of wine. I am willing to pay a lot for convenience, but not that much. The view is nice and the neighborhood is great. The shared balcony was no better than a window, however. We had breakfast on site which was good, and had a few snacks in the sushi bar one night which were excellent. So the first stay midweek was all pretty fine. However, they also made us sign something at check-in saying we wouldn't bring any outside food or drink in. I have never seen that before and I think it's unacceptable. Can't bring home your leftovers? What about your latte? When we returned for our second stay on a Saturday we were a couple hours early and they understandably did not have our suite ready. We went to lunch and returned at check-in time. The room was still not ready and they said housekeeping was very behind and it could be another hour. They offered us free drinks in their wild patio bar. We were exhausted and needed to shower and nap before obligations that night. About 45 minutes later they still didn't know when the room would be ready so my husband convinced them to downgrade us to a smaller room so we could just check into something. This room had no coffee machine. I thought this was poorly handled, they knew we were in the area and would want to check in on time, and we were already return guests that week which I thought would count for something. And how long does it take to clean a room when you know a guest is waiting? Finally I have to say I found the video in the elevator revolting. Also, when the club is hopping the elevator waits can be long. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
