Recent guests highly recommend the cuisine served at both Katsuya and The Bazaar
A daily resort fee of $40 applies

The SLS South Beach exudes a swanky vibe, but recent guests said there's more to praise about this property, including its superb customer service. Accommodations, while considered small by some guests, are outfitted in stark white decor with charcoal and bubblegum-pink accents; rooms also boast LCD TVs, Ciel Spa amenities and city or ocean views. Mingle with your party and other guests at the two pools or at one of the four eateries and bars on-site. Former visitors suggest trying the Spanish-Latin fusion cuisine served at The Bazaar – with dishes crafted by renowned chef José Andrés – or the fresh, tasty sushi prepared at Katsuya. If you're looking for a little reprieve from the raucous Miami Beach party scene, lounge in a poolside cabana or head to the shore to soak up the sun. Keep in mind, a resort fee of $40 per day will be added to your bill to cover Wi-Fi and fitness center access, daily coffee and the use of two beach chairs.

This stylish hotel manages to feel both pretentious and down-to-earth, depending where you're hanging out. An upscale and artsy look greets guests in the lobby -- think white walls, red and black carpets, red-velvet curtains, and a mounted bull's head wearing a shiny, colorful Mexican wrestling mask. Also look out for the brand's signature duck sculpture by the pool.

Smack in the center of South Beach, the SLS Hotel marks designer Philippe Starck's triumphant large-scale return to South Beach; but this time he's teamed up with friends Sam Nazarian, Chefs José Andrés and Katsuya Uech, and Lenny Kravitz for the whimsical trip down the rabbit hole, creating the latest and greatest in the evolution of Miami's happening hotel/food/pool/beach scene. Housed in a restored 1939 art deco building, the SLS Hotel South Beach exudes beachfront sophistication over a commingling of Latin and Asian inspiration in its common areas.

This reincarnation of yet another Art Deco beachfront hotel by maestro Morris Lapidus, the 1939 Ritz Plaza was reborn to much celebrity-studded fanfare in 2012. The stylish decor by Philippe Starck (who helped launch the local boutique-hotel trend in 1995 with his work at the Delano next door) mixes elegance with playfulness and a touch of sexy.
