Perfect location!

May 20th, 2019

About one block from the Temple in one direction and Cheesecake Factory in another, with an outdoor mall in between - awesome! Clean, comfortable, quiet - good service. A bit pricey, but worth it. Starbucks in the lobby. Would definitely recommend. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Marriott SLC

Have stayed here several times. Very clean hotel. Rooms newly renovated, quiet and plenty of plugs for charging. Service staff is friendly. Central to downtown. Restaurant onsite was very good and reasonably priced. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Conference and meeting center

May 6th, 2019

We were here for a one day conference and convention, and while the staff were accommodating and the meeting area well detailed, we were let down by the slow food service and late return to our event. Order ahead of time and good luck. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice hotel in city center

Apr 29th, 2019

We were there last weekend and enjoyed our stay. A short walk to Benihana's and other places in the city. Front desk staff were very nice and helpful. The breakfast on Sunday was a buffet and the food was very nice. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

nice hotel. great location

Apr 26th, 2019

This is a nice marriott. Nothing spectacular but it will serve you well. The lobby was large and well decorated. My room was just so-so. It was a little tired and well used, but it was clean and it accommodated what I needed. The plugs were lacking - I had to plug in the iron at the desk because there were no other convenient plugs in the more open spaces. But that is hardly a bad thing. They do have lots of options for charging your devices which is good. The iron I used in the room dripped water all over my clothes but that's not the hotel's fault. The TV is the largest TV I've ever seen in a hotel room - IT was too big for my taste but others would probably be fine with that. One nice thing - the TV service has a menu of stations and programs like most TV services have. Just made it easy to find what I wanted to watch. You could also watch Netflix, Prime, Hulu, etc. from the TV. I had a "temple view room" on the 10th floor which gave me a view of the Nordstrom roof next door and several buildings a block away. Looking between those buildings you could glimpse the temple. My colleague had a "city view" which gave a beautiful view of the mountains and she said sunrise was really pretty. So - I would suggest a "city view" over the temple view. All of the staff were very accommodating and professional. Kudos to the bell hop who gave us great recommendations on going for a walk through the city and helped us find a nice "hike" (it wasn't a strenuous hike but it did go into a dirt trail into a canyon alongside a river) that was waling distance from the hotel. The hotel is a block from the light rail (which goes right to the airport - $2.50 for the ride and it was clean, quick and easy). It is about a block from Temple Square. It is across the street from the Convention Center (the Salt Palace). And it is connected to a mall. And, there are a BUNCH of restaurants and stuff all walking distance from the door of the hotel. Seriously - its location couldn't be better. I would not hesitate to stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
