Work and travel stay

I stayed there for 6 weeks in total becuase I worked in Canmore short term. I loved the people and the vibe. Also the Beaver Bar downstairs was always a good place-to-be. Definitely recommend the Chicken Sammy by the way. Overall 6 out of 5! TRIPADVISOR.COM USERÂ

We had such an amazing time, the bar and karaoke were so much fun. We went for my birthday and the table next to us got us a Shot Ski which was so fun! The staff was great, the food was incredible, the price was fantastic. Only complaint is it was snowing ALL LOT when we arrived and parking is a nightmare, especially when you can’t see the street or curbs. We got pretty lucky and then just left the car and took the bus and taxis. Which we had a rental so that kind of sucked but the rental was so cheap, we didn’t mind. HIGHLY RECOMMEND TRIPADVISOR.COM USERÂ

I really enjoyed my stay. Great location! Great staff! Great bar! Great hostel culture! Good features like free breakfast and parking. Would definitely stay here again. Only complaint is that my room wasnt as clean as other hostels I have stayed in. It smelled a little funny at times and there were some stains on the carpet. However, the bed was very clean which for me is the important part TRIPADVISOR.COM USERÂ

Clean and safe room with 3 bunk beds, and bathroom with large tub/shower. Public areas were clean. Main floor bar very popular with low prices per drink. Breakfast is plentiful and self serve the underground parking is in need of cleaning and accumulated objects removal. TRIPADVISOR.COM USERÂ
Good, Not Great Hostel

The location of this hostel is great, it's nice that there's a bar and restaurant on the first floor the hostel, too. Samesun Banff does a good job of planning social events to get everyone to meet each other. There's a full kitchen and TV lounge area on the second floor, too. I gave it 4/5 stars because of the noise (loud heating system in the room, and thin, thin, thin, walls). It's pricey for a hostel (but Banff is pricey, too). Overall, I think if you're under 25, this is the place to stay while you're in Banff. Arrive early if you need a parking spot! TRIPADVISOR.COM USERÂ
