Firstly why would an island that’s had 0.0001% of its population infected with COVID follow strict protocols. Ignore the below reviews from fellow Brits, I’m embarrassed for them. All staff wear masks and we felt safe at all times. The hotel itself was amazing and the food was fantastic. There’s plenty of healthy food around the resort but who goes on holiday to eat healthy. The staff were amazing and I’d like to note Ken from barefoot and Kamar at OK Corral are outstanding, all staff are great but these 2 managed to stand out amongst the rest. The room was fantastic and cleaned twice a day. The pool got a little loud some days but the beach is quiet and chilled. Like any beach you get vendors but they all kindly accepted a “no thank you” after a week or so they left us well alone. We had a dream holiday and will be going back to a sandals soon. Not as good as it was not covid safe

visited 3 times before last 2018 and enjoyed it as it was quiet around the pool so could enjoy the cabana now so noisy with v loud music and quizzes etc cannot relax and read.Covid protocols poor mostly Americans who are not socially distancing or wearing masks on entering/ leaving the restaurants or in hotel corridors or in lift .staff all masked. not enough notices about rules do not feel safe. SANDALS POOR COVID-19 PANDEMIC POLICY

My wife and I are long time Loyal Sandals/ Beaches customers and have referred many of our friends, family and clients over the years. We had 2 trips planned for 2021 and one for 2022. Our first trip was to Antigua but decided not to go due to the recent upticks in COVID-19 cases and the fear of not being able to return back to the US or not being able to enter Antigua. So we opted to cancel the trip since we already had 2 other trips booked. Sandals charged the whole trip to our credit card and we immediately cancelled the trip to get our 11,000.00 refund back. Sandals said it would take 7-10 days to get our 11,000.00 refund back and it’s day 14 and still haven’t received it! With that being said the real issue we have with Sandals is that they refused to refund our initial 250.00 deposit we had initially made because of company policy! Even though they saw we had 2 other trips book we were willing to have them push the 250.00 to one of the other trips hoping the Pandemic will minimize over time and we will be able to go. But again Sandals couldn’t budge from their antiquated refund POLICY! With that being said we decided to cancel the other trips and sacrifice a total of $750.00 and vow NOT to ever travel to a SANDALS/BEACHES resort again. To treat customers like this, especially LOYAL customers, is an awful way to conduct business during this awful pandemic. All businesses have had to adapt to the current situation and it’s too bad SANDALS/BEACHES has not. I will also NOT be referring anyone else to any of there resorts. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Expectations not met but overall, good fun

We had a great time at Sandals but in no way does it meet your expectations and the photos used for marketing do not show the real situation. For example, the beach is littered with vendors and their stalls; they stopped us from using it. I know all beaches are public but other countries have adopted policies to help manage this so why can’t Antigua? Being English we thought there was a lack of healthy food on offer and it catered mainly for those Americans who like a fatty diet. The Sushi was definitely the best food there. No ginger beer on site at all so no ‘dark & stormy’ cocktails but the bar staff were helpful when making other drinks the way you like them. There are photographers and spa reps everywhere trying to upsell. The Club concierge service is mainly woeful. Check-in was truly awful. We never used our air con at night, then one night when the rooms all around us in the Mediterranean Building did, our room went completely mouldy. It was our last night so to compensate the manager gave us the room next door to use until we left for the airport. This was fine but the room next door was far superior to the one we had so that was an eye-opener as I’m sure they are exactly the same price! We spent most days bobbing about in the main pool, drinking cocktails, taking part in the quizzes and games, and chatting to other guests. That was the highlight for us, but someone did tell us that in normal circumstances, that pool is packed with people and a very different experience. So we were spoilt, in that respect. I don’t think we’d go to a Sandals again now that we’ve tried one to see what all the hype is about. It wasn’t great value for money, although you do get a lot of facilities and activities to enjoy, which I think is probably unique to Sandals. Overall great fun, but expensive and just nowhere near what is advertised! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
DONT BOOK WITH SANDALS

They promised us FREE Scuba diving and $500 spa credit and did not keep their promises. Our mattress was at least 25 years old with no mattress pad. It was so disgusting, we asked them to change it. Once you’re on the island, there’s literally nothing you can do about problems so you better be flexible and just roll with it or it will ruin your vacation. The food is not 5 stars, the rooms and beds are not 5 stars. The ocean is 5 stars. You’re dealing with an international company that has 0 accountability. You have no recourse if something goes wrong so just avoid them completely. If you do fly to Caribbean, eat at a stateside airport and bring snacks. Customs, immigration, and health screening took at least 2 hrs on top of 3 hour flight. You can’t go to the bathroom once you’re in customs so best to go on plane before you deplane. Book at a reputable hotel and pay for excursions. This “all-inclusive” is a total rip off. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
