HOLY you know what! THIS property is the Grenada of Barbados!

Feb 26th, 2020

It's totally true, they totally must have designed this property after Sandals Grenada because it's as sexy, chic and modern as that one. Wait, they have everything here, and it's all club and butler too. A donut shop, a bowling alley, freaking mac n cheese and even shared resort next door at Sandals Barbados with twice the amenities. Dont wait, book this trip right away, it's the cats meow, trust me! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Not worth it - Circus

Feb 26th, 2020

As a 10x plus visitor of different Sandals Resorts, and being a loyal and easy going customer - our trip to Royal Bohemian Barbados - Dec 27 to Jan 3, 2020 was a complete disaster. It was so disappointing, looking back; starting from the moment we arrived. Every day something else. It felt like the staff was driven into the resort with guns against their heads -their rudeness, not want to be flexible - attentive, ignoring and I hate to say it "lazy" behavior was very uncomfortable. I know Sandals as "the place to go", expecting a Royal Treatment, to be blown away with top notch service, food and kindness. Smiles are free dont have to become our friends but for the amount of dough we dropped, I dont think its too much to ask to be at least "recognized". Beside the low quality of service and food, the resort is over-booked - there are too many guests the resort can handle. Just a couple of the many strikes: Beach & Pools missing umbrella's, broken chairs...the ridiculous towel runs at 6 am (which are allowed by the resort). Butlers reserving ALL! yes ALL prime location chairs at beach (shade and sun) and Pool (umbrella) for the same! couple (room). Public bathrooms overflowing and slowly streaming in the pool. Butlers banging on your door (if the resort is on fire) at 7am with a breakfast meant for another room - not once (can happen) but 3 times/mornings in a row....with! the non disturb light on. Bartenders looking at you, you owe them money, when ordering a drink. Restaurant refused to give us a look at the desert menu when close (30 min prior) to closing, wait what?...yes. Summarized: Sandals overcharges.....lures folks in with pictures and statements to create an illusion - WELL.....All I can say, we are an illusion poorer and an experience richer. Stay away from Sandals - not worth it....they dont care about you, once you have paid, you are just a number. My suggestion : book a nice hotel, bring a bottle for the room and the rest you buy...cheaper, nicer, smarter and all smiles :). Cheers TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Enjoy a week in Paradise!

Feb 25th, 2020

This is a beautiful location, delicious food, many restaurant options, attentive service, and many pool options. We were here for a seminar which took place every morning. The conference center was top-notch. The rain shower room was a definite plus. The afternoon snorkeling trip was enjoyable though the water gets crowded with swimmers. We are lap swimmers and usually had the pool to ourselves early mornings. The yoga class on the rooftop was fun. The rooftop view is worth seeing early morning and also at night. Jack, the Irish manager of the Merry Monkey pub, was entertaining and made our visit memorable. We can't wait to return! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Fine but I wouldn't go back

Feb 24th, 2020

Let's start by saying my review is based on aspects that run all over the board. I've stayed at other Sandals before and enjoyed my trips. This time, well, it was fine. The food was good, but given the cost to stay here I would expect it to be quality dining. That said, it was. However it wasn't exactly above and beyond expectations. The location was beautiful and the facilities were clean. In this category I give them top marks. The service was in general very much lacking. In the restaurants it wasn't bad, and the front desk staff was pleasant when needed. However my biggest problem was that at no point were there drink/food attendants near the pools or beach. This resort made a big push for personal butler services. As such, if you didn't have one you were on your own. Which is fine, when hanging out by the pool it wasn't a hardship to get myself a drink from the bar. However there was such a glut of butler services that my friends who did pay for one couldn't get the service or reservations they wanted because there were too many butlers vying for time. I just feel like for how much we spent to be there we shouldn't have to shell out more for better service. Lastly, entertainment wasn't great. Some of it was very fun, but it was sporadic and at many times hard to find. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Wonderful trpi

Feb 23rd, 2020

We loved our stay at room 8216 with the best butlers service! We were first greeted by Brandon, then Ron was waiting for us with a rolls Royce from sandals! Surprise! He was amazing, telling us all about Barbados! Then greeted by 1 of our butlers Aileen! We were so tired from our delayed flight , but she got us dinner and all was great! Our 3 butlers were Aileen, shontelle and princesss! They were awesome all week! The biggest downside is getting your beach / pool chair, our ladies would go out at 3:00am to reserve them , and coolers full of drinks! There was a large group of us , the first day princess delivered about 15 pizzas to us- surprise again! Another day it was several chicken quesadillas, salads and chips with salsa! They also helped in making our dinner reservations! My husband got a terrible cold and they looked after him! Hydrate every day so you can enjoy the fun nightlife! Loved the piano bar, bowling, singing! We also enjoyed the fitness room and spa. The food was good, not 5 star but ...the chopp house was our favorite, great waitress Ashley-highly recommendation! Neptune’s was good - the fish sandwich was yummy- staff was so friendly!!! And the wonton soup at chi, especially for my husband with the cold! On our last day , Aileen was there to see us off making sure we had everything-and the to our surprise we got the rolls Royce again- Patrick was our driver ( happy birthday) We really can’t say enough good things about the incredible job our 3 butlers did for us! But would also like to give a shout out to Jerome and his team as they did extra things for our friends room that we enjoyed too! The only negative was the weather - a little rainy, but there are so many fun things to do - merry monkey to play pool, bowling, the roof top heated pool! Highly recommend this place but get our girls for your butlers! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
