The condo was so nice and beautifully decorated. It was right on the beach with easy access to the beach. We lived to go hang out in the beach and go for walks on the beach as a family. The pool and hot tub were very nice as well. The staff at the resort were very friendly and helpful. Overall it was a great vacation spot and I highly recommend it! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

we stayed at the Toll House. Beautiful location to a bunch of shops, kids activities, a boardwalk, boats, etc. Toll House needs a good scrubbing and re-fresh in the parking and common areas of the hallways and lobby. Our place was pretty nice but can tell the cleaning people went through here too fast as my feet were black on day one walking barefoot no less then 2 hours inside my condo. The kitchen is not well equipted for those who cook. I understand not everyone cooks on vacation but after our $75 lunch bill of food that sucked, its what I do. We have private access to the beach, tram to take you there, parking if you want to drive. This place is HUGE and quite overwelming.A city within the place with guards at every gate, golf carts whipping in and out of everywhere, beautiful pool on Toll House 3rd floor. Its a pretty area, just too popular and I tend to like the quieter side. Sitting on the back patio with a cup of coffee was nice. Beautiful white sand beach, aqua color water but TONS on people even during COVID19. Lots of restaurants are still closed but plenty still open to eat out. There seems to be alot to do here within the community, bikes, pools, arcade, ice cream shops and retail shops, etc. We are headed out to discover what the area has to offer, hopefully away from the traffic..... Overall, its a beautiful facility for family with kids who could surely find some friends here. Just not so much for the older grandma crowd (I'm 52) lol so not too old. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Due to COVID-19, I had originally planned to rent a 2-bedroom lakeside villa. But we had last minute guests join our arrival and decided to upgrade to a 3 bedroom. I didn't know it at the time but the 3 bedroom moved us across the property into the Grande SanDestin building. And boy, am I glad I did! The view from our 9th story condo was to die for. I wanted a stand alone for the privacy and proximity to others but I'm so very glad I unknowingly upgraded to this area of the property. Now, I'd LOVE to give the property a 5-star as it deserves but I have to be honest and say there were a few issues that refrained me from giving it five stars. The upgrade was easy, only took a few moments over the phone so booking our reservation was very simple. Also, check-in and the staff were great as well. The first problem arose when we checked into our room. Originally, we had been setup on the 8th floor but was later moved due to issues with the room. When we entered, we first noticed our refrigerator was leaking water onto the floor. It was a pretty good amount which left me puzzled as it appears to have been there a good while as if the room hadn't recently been serviced. Not the biggest deal, I could've overlooked that should maintenance quickly fix it. However, while choosing our rooms, my daughter discovers this putrid smell coming from the bathroom faucet. It smelled just like sulfur! Now, we thought it would eventually go away and perhaps it was caused by the resort being shut down and not in use for an extended period. But, after continuing to run the water, the smell got stronger and we couldn't even be in the room. It was evident this water wasn't adequate for hand washing, bathing, etc. With this being a bigger issue than the leaky refrigerator, we decided to switch rooms. I had difficulty getting anyone on the phone to make changes so to the front desk we went. We were able to speak with a manager right away. Again, the staff were great. They listened to reason, did not negate any of my concerns, and quickly rectified the issue. They moved us up one story in the same building. The first condo had one king bed, two queens, and three balconies, two of which were off of two bedrooms. But then moving up a floor, we got three king beds and lost the balconies attached to two of the bedrooms. Not a big deal, I'd prefer the king beds and everyone fit comfortably on the one large balcony off of the living area. Few small issues with this property as well; the freezer was frozen shut. We had to pry at it to get it open and then had to break up all the ice which was cumbersome and inconvenient. Once we had it all cleaned out, we had no further issues. Last thing, my daughter's bathroom shower had a runaway water spout, for lack of better word. The top of the shower head was spraying water out of the top of the shower, onto the ceiling and floor. But, I was able to temporarily fix that with draping a small hand towel over the area and tying it in a knot. Annoying but corrected so no further issue. I wasn't about to call maintenance out at nearly 9pm at night so I let it be. Aside from the issues mentioned above, we had a pretty enjoyable experience during our stay. We loved the pool, the hot tubs, the views, Baytowne Wharf, the shops, the restaurants, the amenities overall were just great. There were so many amenities, we didn't even get to enjoy them all. We didn't use the beach shuttle although, it was available and we saw it picking up guests around the clock. We wanted to rent a golf cart but the property we stayed in didn't have a cart attached to the unit. I loved to watch the boats coming in and out of the marina each evening. It was like watching a parade of boats. Also, the marina had jet skis for rental as well. Each reservation comes with 2 free bicycle rentals for up to 4 hours. We also did not use this but knew it was an option. Baytowne Wharf had live music and it was nice to see families spread out on the lawn enjoying the entertainment. The restaurants had long wait times but it was worth it. Our family sat around, enjoying the sites, having a few cocktails at a nearby gathering spot while we waited for our table. We had dinner at Slick Lips and the oysters were AMAZING! Some of the best I've had hands down. Get the chorizo/gouda ones. Delish! The shops were overpriced but to be expected. The children's entertainment area was really nice as well. If we went back, we'd definitely choose to stay near the Baytowne Wharf again as it is the heart and hub of the resort. All in all, I'd definitely go back and recommend to others. The few issues we had were great enough to prevent me from giving five stars although, I believe when the resort is up and running at normal operation and fully staffed, it's likely those wouldn't have been issues we would've ran into. I'd definitely go back again to get the full experience and enjoy all the amenities. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
