Not so much...

Jun 26th, 2020

Not so much! Having major construction going on just out my side my window and next door is not a reason to discount a room in price! The room definitely was not properly cleaned! The smells in the elevator (cigarette smoke) let alone the hallways (butchering a pig) are decrepit! Receptionist had no idea who I was when arrived. Then only after travelling to Vancouver that a credit card is mandatory... Not the kind of troubles you want to be going through when you’re staying with the hotel for a week! In fact if there’s not been someone working directly outside my window there’s been drilling and pounding next-door. To the point I feel I should have ear protection! I cannot walk around in my hotel room privately or securely as they have full access the viewing my entire suite and personal possessions! So far the only pleasant experience I’ve had is leaving the building and going for my walks! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Thank you Paul at the front desk for helping us get set up with our room and giving us a couple of laughs. Our trip is already off to a great start. Will be back to edit review accordingly after our stay! :-) TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great customer service

Jun 14th, 2020

Our car got a flat tire in the underground parking. The maintenance man Howie was unbelievably helpful, he lent us the jack from his own vehicle and offered us tools. We managed to fix it no problem, what could of been a nightmare turned into a little hiccup. Thanks again Howie for your help. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Small rooms

Mar 13th, 2020

I had forgotten how small the ingenious architects in Vancouver can build - the bathroom is a a real feat! If you have a reason to be in the vicinity, this is a decent hotel to choose. It is clean, but is showing its age - the doors fit loosely, the elevator floor lights don't work for some floors and so on. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Disappointing!!

Mar 10th, 2020

We recently stayed at this hotel because it was close to BC Place Stadium where we went to watch a Rugby tournament this past weekend. It was a convenient location and was great to have the Moxie’s and Shark Club in the hotel. But mostly everything else was a huge disappointment. The rooms were dingy and outdated. Our thermostat was broken and things were falling apart in the room. The bathroom was tiny and cramped. There was no mini fridge or microwave. The only positive was that the beds/bedding/pillows were comfy. The ATM was out of order and the first night of the tournament, the elevators stopped working!! We utilized the fitness room, pool and hot tub. In the gym, only 1 of the 3 treadmills were working, and it was such a small area to work out in. It was not spaced out at all and I was bumping into people trying to use the weight machines. The pool was a decent size, nothing negative to say in that respect. The hot tub jets were not working properly. Check in and check out process went smoothly and staff were friendly. We attend the Vancouver Sevens Rugby tournament annually, and we most definitely will not stay here again nor recommend this place to anyone else. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
