Business trip at a family resort

Feb 15th, 2020

Had a wonderful stay at the Sandpearl for a class. My room was lovely, amenities top-notch, and the service was outstanding. I even treated myself for a wonderful spa treat (Char was amazing) - you get the use of the spa facilities for the entire day of your treatment which is a lovely perk. My 2 bed room had a balcony on the opposite side from the beach, but the balcony was perfect for watching the "supermoon", and extremely quiet - very little street noise. I ate at the bar one evening with a friend and thought the selection of small plates was lovely. The beach theme was a warm change from chilly upstate New York, and just wish that I was able to spend more time enjoying the hotel's many entertainment options - many for solos, couples and families. Would bring my family back without hesitation if I ever travel to Tampa again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

First Class

Feb 7th, 2020

Fabulous 5 night stay in a beautiful gulf facing suite. What a situation, overlooking one of the nicest beaches in Florida with powder soft sand and stunning sunsets in the evening. The room was nicely furnished, spotlessly clean and had plenty of storage space, and the pool area was well looked after, with comfy loungers - also a separate private beach area for guests. We enjoyed Tate Island Grill, the casual beach bar restaurant, which was just lovely for a light relaxing lunch. But the real jewel in the crown for us was our last night dinner at Carretta on the gulf - Clearwater’s only 4 diamond restaurant. Our waiter was great, and our two appetisers of veal tenderloin medallions and center cut fillet were just perfect. In fact the evening ended perfectly in the lounge bar afterwards with a couple of cocktails listening to live music. Couldn’t fault our stay here at all - loved it. Sandpearl is a 4 star resort but we’ve stayed in 5 star hotels that haven’t been as good! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

So much fun for a spontaneous ladies weekend!

Feb 3rd, 2020

Four college friends, a beautiful beach resort, and a hopping little band at an unexpectedly fun restaurant bar... what more could you want to make a ladies weekend complete? We decided at the last minute to get together when we all had a free weekend, and luckily Sandpearl had a room available. We were greeted at check-in with mimosas and huge bottles of water, got a beautiful view of the beach from the elegantly understated lobby, and wandered up to our lovely room. The view was definitely not the best from room 515, but we weren’t planning on spending much time there anyway. At least we could see the water and pelicans flying past. Everything was just as we like it... clean, plenty of room, elegant, and available last minute for a surprise getaway! (DO make reservations in advance if you can obviously.) We ate lunch at the little cafe, took a walk on the beach, enjoyed seeing two weddings from afar, and had dinner at the on-site restaurant. Last minute reservations were available, the food was amazing, and they even had gluten free and organic wine options for those of us with dietary restrictions. We had expected to have a quiet dinner and possibly wander off the property for some drinks afterwards, but by the time we had finished eating, the bar was hopping with live music. (Props to the singer! She was truly amazing!) We had a FANTASTIC time dancing the night away and ended up going for late drinks across the street after closing down the hotel bar. We had numerous options for breakfast but chose to get something light at the little breakfast bar before hitting the white sand beach again. The spa looked luxurious, but we couldn’t get reservations for four at the same time since we were trying to book them so last minute. Our fault, not theirs. There are shops, restaurants, and bars that are easily walkable if you feel the need to leave the hotel. I also want to mention that every single person down to the lady in the gift shop was incredibly kind and respectful. We felt welcomed and comfortable from the moment we pulled up. This relaxing, beautiful environment was a place where families with children, wedding parties, young twenty somethings, older people, romantic couples, and a group of friends from college could all enjoy time together, and we saw all of these groups represented last weekend. I would be delighted to come back here with my husband alone or with our three teenagers, and I wouldn’t hesitate to bring my parents and friends any day of the week. We even saw a group of little girls wearing matching shirts having a birthday party there. Lucky kids! Thanks to everyone who works there for making us feel so comfortable and helping us to have a much needed ladies’ getaway! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Unreal The Best

Jan 31st, 2020

Expect higher than first class... and that is just the service. I travel for work and this one just wows me. The best way to review this hotel and staff is to book it now. Expect massive price changes for the beach weather and events, but expect an experience second to none. I indulged at the BeachComber Harrys one night and just might of had to pinch myself. Score points for having such a great business dinner across the street. Dont skimp and get the gulf view room. Love it, first class, second to none on Clearwater beach. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
