Daytona Beach on Steroids

After waiting for someone to show up at the front desk, I was “greeted” by a pretentious young girl who should not be working in the hospitality industry. She offered no apologies for making me wait, did not even ask why I was standing at the counter. After handing me the keys to the room she turned around to leave before volunteering the sort of information that you would expect of a front desk. It was like pulling teeth that I got the answers to “where can I park and do I need a pass for the car?” “where are the elevators to our room?” “could someone help with the luggage?” “What time will the restaurants close?” In summary, information that every professional front desk at any Motel 6 would provide, and with good manners! Thankfully, the room made up for the check-in fiasco. The double queen accommodations were very clean and suitable for two adults and two children. Despite the noisy lobby, the room was quiet and well appointed, not nearly as tacky as some of the online pictures may suggest. That said, this is not a good choice of hotel for families, the crowd is not the usual mix of guests that you would see at Mohegan Sun or casinos in Vegas. Here, they are all adults out of a Sandals catalogue, escaping the suburbs, the kids, and ready to relive their Daytona Beach Spring break of 1985. Kids cannot go into the restaurants because they require that you walk through the casino. Oh, and the room rate that includes breakfast, gives you no access to a buffet, but the right to one cup of coffee and a pastry from the lobby coffee shop. Aside from the beautiful picturesque façade, not much is impressive about this property. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Pleasant Stay with Fun Amenities!

We stayed here for a concert at SPAC (Phish! Wooo!). Very convenient to SPAC, and downtown Saratoga Springs. Congress Park is gorgeous! Also, it's possible to do a day trip to Lake George from here (which we did). Fun casino (I'm not much of a gambler, but we enjoyed a few penny slots). Also, we were able to get some affordable sandwiches at Lucky Joe's within the casino (Morton's Steakhouse wasn't in our budget). We were able to take the sandwiches back to our room, and I enjoyed the most delicious panini I've had in a while! The beds were comfy, and I loved the shower. Very nice water pressure, and clean facilities. The free local shuttle was convenient, and our driver Al was awesome! Great personality! I would love to come back again in the fall. Very nice accomodations and excellent shuttle service

My husband and I came to Saratoga Springs for the jazz festival and chose this hotel based on proximity to the SPAC where the festival took place. Our room with king bed was nice, clean and comfortable. It did not appear to have a free continental breakfast for all guests but our booking through Expedia provided free breakfast in the form of daily vouchers for a large coffee and either breakfast sandwich or pastry at the coffee shop in the lobby. We strolled through the casino which has numerous varieties of slot machines but went mostly for the people watching - I will say the casino and hotel are attached but you can stay at the hotel without ever seeing a slot machine if you so choose. My favorite part of our stay was the on demand shuttle service which we used for drop off and pick up to dinner in town on Friday and drop off and pick up to the SPAC both days of the festival. The drivers will let you know how far out they are when you call (we never waited more than 10-15 minutes and sometimes not at all). TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We stayed one night to celebrate our 55th wedding anniversary. The lobby is stunning and the check-in staff was friendly. We had a king room on the 4th floor. We found the room to be lovely and the bed to be extremely comfortable. The few faults we could find were that the in-room coffee did not offer decaf or tea; the bathroom amenities lacked body lotion, and there was no grab rail in the shower, important for seniors, which probably make up half their clientele in the off season. There is a handy Starbuck's cafe in the lobby for breakfast items, including just a bit overpriced buffet for $11 each, with scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, home fries and fruit, with coffee and juice. We did not use the indoor pool or exercise room, but they looked great. We did enjoy our stay, and the property is very well done and well kept. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
