Loved this Inn

Jan 17th, 2020

We were visiting Historic Savannah and this was the perfect place to stay! And a good value- if you don't mind climbing 2 flights of wooden stairs! Our room was small but well appointed with a spacious bathroom. It was supposed to overlook the courtyard but we mostly viewed the porch roof and next building. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Consider the Jasper House for a family stay; good value.

Jan 12th, 2020

Upon arrival we were met by a really nice woman (although I can’t remember her name). We stayed in the Jasper House which has three floors and two bedrooms in each floor with a shared bathroom in each floor. The rooms are spacious and beds comfortable. It has a full first floor that’s has a huge sitting area, a dining room and a kitchen which is somewhat equipped but who is cooking while they are on vacation? It does have a full stove, full size refrigerator and a microwave. It also has an outside sitting area specifically for the Jasper House which was lovely to sit in any time of day. The breakfast is served buffet style and decent but hot foods tend to be warm or cold (depending when you come). Self serve coffee/tea/juices as well. There is indoor seating outside patio seating which is lovely. They serve tea and pastries in the afternoon and in the evening they put out cookies, milk and sweet tea. Parking is free after 5:00 but we chose to get a parking permit at $24 for 48 hours or you can get it for a 24 hour limit. You can get the permit at the B&B or you can go to the Visitor Center and get it there (same price). There is parking on the street and we had no issues find a parking spot. Overall The staff was pretty friendly especially the lady at the front desk. We would definitely stay here again. The Jasper was a good value for your money and an entire family can stay together. It’s about a 30 minute walk to the river walk which is fine because you get to see the different squares during the walk. They are located by the Forsyth Square. And don’t look for the bench in the square where Tom Hanks sat while making the movie Forrest Gump because it’s by the River Walk. Enjoy Savannah. It’s historic, beautiful, and so many wonderful stories to be told. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Moderately priced bed and breakfast, great location

Dec 30th, 2019

This bed and breakfast is just a couple of blocks from Forsyth Park, just off Chatham Square in the historic district. It was perfect for what I wanted, at $199 per night. But visitors should be aware that rooms can be up three flights of stairs (the first from the street), the lower cost rooms are small, as is the TV, there is no refrigerator in the room (there is a "guest" fridge on the first floor), and there was no desk in my room. The air conditioner had a programmed thermostat that after much trial and error I finally was able to turn off; it was somewhat noisy and not needed. Windows opened. The alarm clock did not work. Although the "hot" breakfast items had heat under them, they were room temperature. If you bring a bicycle, it must be stored in a courtyard which is inaccessible to outsiders, under cover but outside. I had no trouble finding parking on the street which is free over weekends beginning Friday at 5:00 pm. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great Experience!

Dec 6th, 2019

This is a great property with fascinating history, in a great location! Walking distance to everything, yet in a quiet peaceful neighborhood overlooking a serene park. Shanika is the best, but the whole staff is terrific! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Made another visit, always very good

Nov 10th, 2019

We have stayed at The Inn several times. There have been changes for example the external deck area for breakfast and now the excellent buffet style breakfast. The staff are very good and helpful, we have got to know some of them over the years. Definitely recommend for a very personal and different stay in Savannah. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
