I had a medical problem and the staff went the extra mileS! to help me solve it. Exceptional. The hotel itself is perfectly located, quiet and nicely decorated. The hotelparking has a battery charger. The pool environment needs a little bit more care. If you travel to Graz or its environment: Schlossberghotel is the place to be. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This was our 1st stop duering our recent tour of Austria & what a great start ! After a 3hr train journey from Vienna through stunning scenery we arrived at Graz station. The hotel didnt appear to be far & only having hand luggage decided to walk which took us about 15mins. The hotel is convenient located near the old town with views over the river. Check in was both friendly & efficient which was appreciated as we had been travelling since early hours from the UK. We was very pleased with our room, bed was comfortable & our bathroom both roomy & well appointed. Duering our 2 day stay we very enjoyed our breakfasts served in the conservatory & I thought that the drinks we had in the hotel bar were very reasonable. There are terraced rear gardens with fabulous views & an outside pool but we resisted the temptation for a dip as it was mid February & about -4C 😁 TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Great one night stopover

Did one night stopover in Graz being roughly halfway point to Vienna. Nic hotel, good breakfast selection, spacious room. Small sauna - just ring reception to turn kit on 30 minutes in advance. Walking distance to town centre. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
A charming castle hotel with incredible contemporary art collection
Sep 2nd, 2019
If you go to Graz, this is the place. This unusual & cozy hotel offers many enjoyable surprises. The hotel is in the old town, located just below the Graz castle and the famous clock tower. The hotel is near the river that flows through the old town. The hotel lobby consists of several charming spaces and it is full of contemporary art - around 400 works! It was lovely to work around the hotel and discover yet another work around the corner. The garden is winding up to the hill and there are lots of beautiful hiding places you can sit and read your book. Even a small swimming pool is located on the hillside. The old town & the pedestrian zone starts from the hotel steps. We came by our own car to the hotel and it was taken to the parking hall opposite and it was again waiting for us once leaving. The staff was excellent. The breakfast room was spacious (great furnitures e.g. from Kartell and arts) and the breakfast was full of choices. We had an exceptionally big and beautiful room with wooden floors, a great bed and a white marble bathroom - and art! We enjoyed walking up to the castle (a breath taking view over the red rooftops of Graz) and over the river to a lively area where the modern art museum is located (a museum shop worth of visiting). This lively town has lots of restaurants, small shops, cafes, market places & art galleries everywhere. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

we stayed for a long weekend and enjoyed the simple professionalism of the hotel staff. The hotel ran itself and staff extremely courteous and obliging. Our room was clean and had an art deco feel with huge pictures and high ceilings. An outstanding location in the centre of Gratz. special mention to Julia on reception for service in locating and contacting the shop which found my blue earring lost the previous day !
