Overnight stay

Wow! The Scribe was excellent all round. Great location, friendly and helpful staff and fabulous newly renovated rooms. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. The new decor throughout the hotel is distinctly and tastefully French. We were sorry we had only one night here. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Newly renovated Le Scribe 'rocks' - My preferred hotel for Paris

I have been staying at Le Scribe for many years (15+) periodically both for business and leisure trips to Paris. The renovation effort over the last year or so has resulted in a redesigned, cozy and luxurious lobby, and upgraded rooms. During my recent stay last week, I was upgraded to the 6th floor suite with a balcony, a brand-new spacious room with the latest amenities and uniquely attractive stylish design features. The service was impeccable, as usual, with an excellent breakfast room, and enticing bar. Central location close to L'Opera, great shopping (very close to Blvd. Haussmann and Les grands magasins) and access to all the key attractions of central Paris. I have stayed in several 4 and 5 star hotels in Paris, as I have frequently traveled there for business for many years, and can attest that the service and 'value-for-money' at Le Scribe is unparalleled. Of course one can stay in more expensive hotels, but the value for money ratio becomes progressively lower. Therefore, Le Scribe arguably offers the best deal for a luxury hotel in the City of Light, while one can continue to accumulate one's Accor/Sofitel points!! Strongly recommended! Looking forward to returning to this gem of a hotel soon. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Avoir this hotel!

Despite its good looks on the pictures and its fantastic location, this hotel is to be avoided for 3 reasons: 1) Staff is unfriendly and rude. 2) Hotel is under renovation which is not mentioned anywhere during the reservation process. 3) construction noise starts at 8:30am sharp and goes on all day. One night in Paris

We booked this hotel based on different review-websites. And boy, are we glad we did! It is indeed in the perfect location for shopping, and visiting the biggest landmarks in Paris. Upon arrival we noticed the extremely welcoming and friendly service, and this continued during our short stay. The room was absolutely amazing, and very clean. The hotel was being renovated, but we didn't had any inconvenience of it. (our room was on the first floor, and the third en fourth floor were "under contruction"). Even tough our room was scheduled for renovation, we both couldn't see the urgent need to do so... be assured the "old" rooms are still very tidy, charmant and clean! We can't wait to come back to Paris, and we will definitely book our stay here again! Also an extra addition: breakfast is amazing! Really nice salmon, freshly marinated (gravad lachs style) and served to you by a chef, wide arrange of juices, AMAZING french press coffee (i love it, and i need it!). I do recommend!!!! Terribly cold face and service

I have been visiting this hotel twice a year in the past three years. I have enjoyed every single experience as the service and the kind attention that the warm hearted staffs have genuinely given. Despite the renovation has started last year, my family still decided to stay at this hotel due to the great service that always consistently provided. Unfortunately during our last visit, which was in April 2019, everything has gone downhill. To be on the balance side let me start from the positive note: 1. We were given the newly renovated room, and the room looks modern and fresh 2. Concierge service is always extremely helpful, especially with dinner reservation. They always provide excellent other option when the reservation is a no go 3. The breakfast staffs always greet u with smile and engage to have a lil but conversation. This makes the service a bit personal and nice. The negative note: 1. The front desk very coldly treat the guests, and too bad they are the first impression of the hotel. 2. I book the room and were given free of charge of the non - alcoholic drink from the minibar. And this is not out first time to have this, since we know this is part of the club room. During the check out, the front desk, strongly disagree (without checking) and would like to charge. I kindly reminded him to double check however his gesture was very dismissing me. And his other colleague told him something in french (i believe she’s more senior or experienced as i have seen her in our past trip). In the end, he figured out that it was free of charge and apologized (which i didn’t see any sincerity in his face) 3. I also noticed the service from the front desk has become cold and not genuine also to other guests. My note. What made this hotel nice was not the luxury of the hotel nor the location (since they are not the only one in this district), in fact their service. But that has gone downhill. Could be in the past the service was different to me as my loyalty member has stepped down. Unfortunately, i am not planning to come back to stay in this hotel.
