2020 summer trip

Aug 15th, 2020

Stayed in E604. 3 Bed 3 bath unit is very spacious and well furnished but is showing it’s age. Beds are comfortable. Balcony chairs were completely torn and unusable. Manager was good enough to give us a Partial refund For inconvenience. Unit is OK but was high priced. Expected more modern unit for price paid. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

1502 West

Jun 28th, 2020

This is really two separate reviews, one of the property itself an then a review of condo 1502 West. The property at Seachase is well maintained and clean. The East and West towers have their own smaller pools and hot tubs along with their own walkways to the beach. In front of the more central tower and clubhouse is the large pool complex. It is great for children with a splash pad, infinity pool and another shallow pool with a beach type entry. Our 3 year old grandson loved it. There is also the third large hot tub. All the pool areas are clean and great for families. The walkway to the beach is short and leads to a wide clean beautiful white sand beach. There are plenty of chairs and umbrellas to rent as well as plenty of space to bring your own. Chairs are being placed at the necessary 6 feet or more for social distancing. If you have a good condo, Sea Chase can be a great place for families. Just be aware if you come in two cars, you will be charged $25 for parking the second car. This is not made clear in any rental agreement. Also check in isn’t until 5:00 and the staff will be gone. The security guard basically checks you in to the property. Not sure what would happen if there are difficulties. Now about 1502 West. There were both good and bad features in this condo. The view is beautiful, front and center on the beach. The balcony isn’t large but does have a tablet for 4 with very comfortable chairs. Wish there had been a chaise to relax in during the evening. The kitchen is very nice and recently remodeled with granite countertops and new nice appliances. Refrigerator is large and ice maker works continually. We found the kitchen to outfitted well with everything we needed to cook meals. Just PLEASE SPRING FOR NEW CAN OPENER. The TV in the living room as well as the master are smart TVs and so easy to log in to your netflix and prime accounts. Large comfortable seating area. The beds however are horrible!!! The desperately need to be replaced with better foundations. We were a family of 4 adults and a three year old. None of the adults got a good nights sleep. Also there is only sheets and a thin coverings on each bed. After a day in the sun, most people feel cold and we could only fine one blanket. We ended up layering other thin coverlets on the beds. And yes we did make the AC less cold. I think the comforters May have been removed because of COVID-19. The bathrooms also desperately need to be updated. Cultured marble from the 90s and mold and mildew behind caulking and in the master shower. Towels were thin and skimpy. This could be a lovely condo if the owners will go ahead and finish remodeling. We would stay at Sea Chase again but not unless we can be sure we have a completely remodeled condo. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

SeaChase E302

Jun 13th, 2020

We stayed in unit E302 over Memorial Day. Beautiful unit- very clean. In response to the other reviewer, I can’t say if the jacuzzi tub worked or not since I didn’t try it out. I’m sure the unit has been updated because it was very bright and welcoming- not outdated or Florida weird. As a point of reference, we are easy going but tend to be self described “hotel snobs”... we like nice places that look very clean and this place was very good. The lobby was cleaned several times a day, Hand sanitizers in the elevators, and social distancing policies posted (people were VERY respectful). The pools were great and beach is even better. This was our first time in OB and we were impressed. Walmart is right across the street and restaurants and grocery are right there too. Very family friendly and relaxing. The nice thing about Sea Chase is there are only 3 units so it’s not like a mass amount of people by pools or beach. Pro’s about OB- sugar sand, family friendly, clean, every condo we drove past was nice and well maintained, plenty of shopping... Cons- not much, traffic is a little wonky with all the “u-turns” and because we faced south you do not get a direct sunrise or sunset. Overall, SeaChase is a very nice/relaxing place to stay and a great family vacation. Unit E302 was very nice and I would recommend for sure. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Lovely At Christmas SeaChase 503 West

Feb 10th, 2020

It was a treat to be at SeaChase 503 West for Christmas. We have stayed in this unit a couple of times and love it. We know what to expect. Love the beds! View is breathtaking. Our only problem was having to leave way too soon! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
