A Vacation of a Lifetime ~~~ Ahhh!!!

Jul 18th, 2019

As a Mom traveling with two teenage girls, Sea Breeze invited a breezy easy luxurious vacay! I was able to relax knowing my girls and I were taken care of with "special perks" and "going above and beyond" from the moment we arrived until we departed. Here's a little unknown tidbit, on the day of check out....guests are still entitled to indulge in the all inclusive amenities until you MUST leave for your flight. Food, drinks and even a shower just in case you must get in a bit more beach time! Ahh ....the beaches in Barbados are lovely and the water is crystal clear and aqua blue. The resort beach waters are a bit choppy but the calm waters of Carlise Bay are just a short taxi ride away if you prefer lake-like swimming! Sea Breeze is pristine and beautiful. As a guest, you are pampered with drinks, great meals, a lovely room, and the most genuine hospitality. We were doted on! A special "thank you" to Ramel , our bartender, for a week of the best Mojitos!! Daniel, part Sea Breeze'ts Security Team, arranged for our driver during off site excursions. He also checked on us daily to ensure this Momma felt safe and was able to relax! Kenny and Edwin, with Water Sports, escorted us to the local Friday night fish fry at Oistin's. The walk was about 15 minutes and we enjoyed the most delightful conversation. It was such a gracious gesture which made our trip just that much more memorable! The Bajan food and the culture were amazing! We love Barbados and Sea Breeze! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Absolutely Stunning Beach!

Jul 17th, 2019

We stayed at the Seabreeze resort for 3 nights commencing July 12 2019. The resort is quiet, intimate & easy on the eyes. It is designed to create a relaxing and blissful experience. If you are looking to have shots all night and party like a wild animal, this is not the spot for you. The room: We stayed at the two bedroom ocean front suite on the 6th floor in the Mahogany building (newest building in the resort). Modern design, with big screen tv’s and a very comfortable bed. Most amazing part of the room, is the stunning view of the beach from the balcony. The building is so close to the shore, you can hear the waves. The Restaurants: The food is prepared fresh yet mediocre, nothing special. Repetitive & limited options at the restaurants. Mainly Western food, small variety of Barbadian cuisine. They didn’t serve any local fruits(for ex. mango, guava, papaya, coconuts). The restaurant are open for limited hours. They didn’t have a 24/7 snack bar. Reservations are required for dinner, dress code is implied but overlooked. Room service is offered, for a small fee. The Beach: Absolutely beautiful, naturally stunning. Clean salt water, no seaweed, mild waves, no garbage, pure bliss. Plenty of lounge chairs available, the chairs have a built in roof which is great to keep in the shade as the sun moves along the sky. For those who want to tan, the cover can easily be removed. Deserves a spot on the top 10 beaches in the world. My favourite part about our entire stay. Yeah The Service: The service was a bit confusing, I couldn’t understand if this was cultural, but I got the feeling that the servers did not really want to be there. They all completed their tasks, however hardly smiled, rarely created small talk. Everyone was very serious, tipping didn’t change this either. This of course with the exception of the 5%. The Bars: The bar experience was also a very boring, not too many people hang around the bars. So we didn’t feel like hanging around the bar either. It was a quick spot to grab a drink and move on. They had foreign premium drinks available for ex. Ciroc, Grey Goose, Hennessy, Black label etc. However I was disappointed they didn’t have any local premium rum. They only had Mount Gay. I was at least expecting Mount Gay XO or Cockspur gold. The Pool: The pools are also very small, sports or games are not encouraged by the resort. So your only source of entertainment is what your party has to offer. Overall the property was very clean, no trace of any sort of bugs. All the amenities and facilities were operation. Check in/out was smooth and simple. 15 mins from the airport. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation, to relive stress and not too picky about the cuisine this is the right spot for you. Still the same great place!

Jul 16th, 2019

This was our second visit- the first since the addition of the new buildings and restaurant. We we so happy to see so many familiar faces from our visit 4 years ago. It says a lot about how owners/management treat their staff. Every staff member was there to make sure our visit was the best. Service was great, no matter where we were-beach or pool, breakfast, lunch, or dinner. There were enough choices for food-something for everyone. Our room was clean and well taken care of by staff. We cannot wait until our next visit. It is our favorite place in the Caribbean. Large enough to have options, but small enough to be personal and get to know the staff. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Amazing Resort!

Jul 12th, 2019

We selected Sea Breeze at the recommendation of a travel agent, as we had not been to Barbados before, so did not know where to go. We typically prefer to rent a condo, but this resort was fantastic and we would definitely return. We do not like large, typical all-inclusive resorts, so we were a little worried about whether we would like it, but it was amazing. The small size and high quality made us fall in love with Sea Breeze. Our group was two adults and a 15 and 11 year old. The resort is on the south side of the island, so it is a quick drive from the airport. Check in was quick and easy and we had a lovely cold towel and drink to occupy us. Our luggage was taken to our room and we were given a quick tour of the resort as we were taken to our room. We stayed in Starfish on the second floor. The room was nicely appointed, was quiet and had a nice view of the pool and ocean. We found this building to be an ideal location between pool, beach and restaurants. The resort is well cared for, the pools are lovely and the beach is beautiful. As the resort is on the south, you will get waves. We found this fantastic, as we could body surf and boogie board. The raft out in the water was a huge hit - to sit on or jump off. The water is warm and on calmer days was clear and beautiful. The beach team were great, organizing games, setting us up with kayaks or taking people out on the catamarans. Breakfast was at Mahogany. There were always lots of options and I enjoyed a mimosa on more than one morning! The custom omelets were great. The oatmeal, with a large variety of toppings, was also great. We typically had lunch at Flying Fish, as we preferred to stay outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. The fish burger and roti were fantastic! For dinner, you can check out the menus at breakfast and book where you want to eat. We loved Aqua Terra – it was a beautiful setting by the ocean and the food was great! (If they have the hummus with Thai curry sauce, get it – it was incredible). The meals at Mahogany were also great, but it is a little busier. Mahogany was normally a la carte, except for the Bajan buffet, which is definitely worth doing. We also attended the beach BBQ which was great. We loved that the drink selection was much broader than other resorts we have been to. We also loved that there was always a great selection of fresh fish. I would also recommend going in to Oistins on Friday night for the fish fry! It was tasty and lots of fun to watch the dancers on the stage and those dancing in front. It is a quick walk away! We went into Browne’s beach twice using the local vans. It was easy to get there and the beach is spectacular! At night, we loved hanging out by the beach playing Jenga or Connect 4 with their “large” games. We also liked hanging out by the rum bar and chatting with other guests and getting lured in by the hook game. With the small size of the resort, it was wonderful to get to know other guests. While the gym is tiny, there is enough in there to get you by on vacation. There is a treadmill, a couple of other cardio machines, a few weight machines and some dumbbells that got up to a reasonable weight for us to get in a workout. The lap pool was great to get in a swim workout and we loved that a couple of crabs joined us in the pool! The staff at Sea Breeze are fantastic! Everyone was so helpful and friendly. While the majority of reviews say the same thing, I have seen a few saying that they did not find the staff friendly. I can only guess that these people did not have manners or did not put in an effort to get to know anyone, as we absolutely loved everyone we encountered! If you are looking for a large resort with countless activities and shows, this is not the place. If you are looking for a beautiful beach, great food, great people and relaxation, this is the place. We will definitely be back! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
