Great trip overall , beach a little crowded

Aug 2nd, 2020

I stayed in an ocean front room which was very clean. I was worried because of all the bad reviews I have been seeing . The room seems pretty up to date. The hard thing is to try to keep the room clean / no sand without room service. We did take out reds for dinner and spent $85 on pizza wings and salad. It was NOT worth the price for the quality of that food. I would not get take out there again. You need to get on the beach early if you want seats / chairs because it’s crowded. I went out at 7am to save seats and by the time I got on the beach at 9 our umbrella was stolen which was annoying!! I would have hoped they would discount the rooms more with limited amenities being opened but it still was pretty costly. Overall we had a great trip though. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I am originally from Mashpee and have been coming to this area all of my life. Living near Boston now, I always love coming to old silver. Decided to bring my family to my favorite resort, probably should’ve stayed somewhere else! It’s Covid and I completely understand, but besides the front desk who were very nice, the staff is terrible. Room was still dirty, cobwebs and sand everywhere, had to clean it myself. We basically have a motel six room for almost $400 a night. Waited an hour to find someone to order lunch and drinks on the beach and when my husband finally went up and found the waitress, she said I will be right back to take our order and never came back, INSTEAD we see her and ANOTHER waitress SITTING DOWN behind us for a while talking to her friends!!! Her friends on the beach got service but my toddler didn’t. I’ve gone to family and friends weddings and functions here for years, used to love it here. NEVER again!! So disappointed. I spent less a night in a gorgeous hotel in Italy than I did here! Save your money, stay home or just go somewhere else TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Where do I begin...

Jul 23rd, 2020

We just came home from SeaCrest in Falmouth today. We checked out one day earlier... We’ve stayed there before. This time we understand because of Covid-19 things have changed. However staying at this hotel this time we felt that we got ripped off:( The hidden fees are outrageous. No house keeping...:( and you can imagine the sand and the bathroom if you’re staying for 4 nights... If you need towels you better go to the lobby to ask because at the front desk no one picks up the phone...If you got a rainy weather while you stay’re screwed because there’s no pools open... Again, I understand these are crazy times but not letting people know what exactly to expect about amenities and charging water fees It’s a ripoff. Stay healthy everyone TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Just checked in-not impressed

Jul 21st, 2020

Waterview is what you pay for-roof view of HVAC system is what you get. We reserved a room that sleeps 5, however there is just 1 King bed-no fold out bed like advertised and we are only permitted 1 roll away-so we will have 1 child IN the bed with us. Paying over $2000 for false advertising-basically. They are telling us there are no other rooms and the advertising is a “glitch in the system they will work on.” Hopefully the beach is worth it-not convinced. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Limited staff and both pools are closed this summer. Don’t waste your money until COVID is over.

Jul 15th, 2020

We stayed 2 nights. Not once did I see a staff member wiping or sanitizing anything on the property; beach chairs, dining tables, common areas, etc. There is only one food option, which is extremely limited, so plan to eat off property. For example, the breakfast sandwich for $12 was pre-made and cold. The only eating space is to carry your takeout to the (unsanitized) tables in the pool area. The only positive is the sandy beach a few steps from the hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
