Excellent Hotel with great view and amazing Staff

Our stay at Sea Side Resort and Spa was an amazing experience since the day we arrived. We had problems with our rental car, but at Check-In reception the employee just helped us and also tried to solve our problem. Great Service! The view at the sea from our suite was awesome. The locate ist really good, beacause you're watching at this big "bay". All the Staff was very kindly, politely und were up with a smile whenever you talked to them. We would recommend this Hotel for have relaxing days away from "every day- trouble" TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Beautiful place and amazing stay

Wow we have so many wonderful things to say about this place. But first off I’ll say if you plan to go outside of the resort, it’s best to rent a car from the airport directly as it’s more expensive from the resort. Also, it isn’t a place that’s easy to get to and taxi ride will cost 45 euros each way, and there are no hotel shuttles. But if you plan to stay at the resort and really relax and do nothing this place is really great. We traveled with our 6 month old baby and this place was just so welcoming and lovely. The views were absolutely stunning and the staff were incredibly friendly. We booked a basic room that was suppose to be land view but still had an amazing sea view from our balcony. The rooms are super clean and well decorated in an airy beachy look. Due to covid regulations house keeping only comes once every 3 days but you can all to request more frequently. They provided a crib for our baby with no extra cost. The facilities are nice and the pools have the most incredible view as it is a cliff side hotel. There is one child friendly pool and they hold a few activities everyday for those who want to do aqua Zumba and yoga. (I think it’s more for the elderly in terms of their level of intensity but still worth a try) The food Buffet to be honest was quite average and I was sick of it after the second day. However from my friends I was told it’s like that at every resort so it wasn’t shocking.. It seemed to cater to the German guest and lacked variety. We were sad to not be able to try their a la carte restaurants because we have only booked a 6 night stay and for the restaurant experience you get 1 free dinner for 7 nights or more. Overall we were very happy with our experience. We took some lovely family photos with their professional photographer and are so happy to have done so. We paid 250 euros for the entire 280 or so picture file he took and got some prints and a photo album. We felt that this hotel was worth the cost and we would happily suggest it to others. If we come back I wouldn’t hesitate to book this again but I probably will just rent a car so we can explore the local food scene more. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We had amazing holiday despite corona. Thank you a lot. - room perfect - hotel perfect - pools perfect - staff perfect - meals ok The village Agia Pelagia isn't a very nice place to be but the location of the hotel is amazing. So i would recomend to book a car to make trips to nice villages and cities of crete. The beach near the hotel is very nice for snorkeling and swimming. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Hotel is very well organised, staff go above and beyond, cleanliness is very good, although at busy times in the main restaurant there is an issue with cleaning tables and queuing was evident on several occasions. The buffet selections, breakfast, lunch and evening meal has been greatly reduced due to the pandemic and the staff serve you rather than help yourself. There is still plenty of choice, even for the most picky eater and is plentiful and hot (where applicable). There are 2 different salad bars offering just about everything you can think of and the deserts are stupendous - so much choice in little morsels so you really can enjoy several at a time - my personal favourite the Baclava A-MAZ-ING. We were in room 012 which has an infinity pool right outside the patio doors this is shared with 11 other rooms and was never busy. The pool overlooks the bay below where you can snorkel and dive - you have to pay for the use of the beach chairs/loungers (3.50 Euro per day and you can come and go as you please) this covers the cleaning and resetting each day. There are also shops, restaurants and a bar which during the day will bring food/drink out to you on the beach or you can sit in. The food in both Stelios' and Vasilis' is gorgeous - recommend the fried squid, gyros and souvlaki but be warned the portions are huge. Both restaurants love to give you plates of free tasters and we never had to order a desert as they give everyone lots of different ones to try plus the obligatory Raki which they love to drink with you. It is a lovely experience and we visited both restaurants twice during our holiday. We went AI and there were a few niggles which I believe lets this hotel down takes it from a 5* down to 4*: Minibar was not replenished at all during your stay - all other places we have stayed on AI basis this has been done daily. Bottled water was available on request via reception outside of when your room was cleaned which is every 3rd day. The AI Drinks menu leaves a lot to be desired. The cocktails available are all based around Raki - and there is limited choice. The more popular cocktails, if you want them made to the original recipe, come at a charge of between 5 and 8 euros. In the A La Carte restaurants you have to pay for drinks and I mean all drinks (exception being water). You cannot have the local wines or soft drinks that would be available in the main restaurant and bars. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
