Lovely top 5 star hotel
Oct 6th, 2020
Lovely and luxurious hotel just the right size to feel perfectly comfortable and at home in Mykonos. + amazing staff, super friendly and competent + kind housekeeping, very efficient and the place is super clean + breakfast fresh, great choice with almost everything being home made. We did not feel any Coronavirus impact at all. The buffet is closed and the perfectly friendly team will pick everything for you and hand you over the plate. + spa with very professional treatments by Christina who is a very accomplished massage therapist + cosy atmosphere + free valet parking + in Mykonos town so just a short walk to all restaurants and bars - rooms, especially bathroom are quite small, at least the one we had - spa atmosphere, super small place Overall one of the few hotels worth returning to TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Deep tissue massage with Kristina

Easily the best full body massage I have ever received. Highly recommended! Felt fantastic and reinvigorated afterwards. The spa is located just behind the pool, and offers various other services too. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Wonderful stay at the Semeli Hotel
Sep 15th, 2020
I have never written a review of a hotel before, but after staying at Semeli for 5 days at the beginning of September 2020 I knew I had to tell everyone about it! From the moment myself and my boyfriend were picked up from Mykonos Airport, the hotel staff made us feel so welcome and at home. I saw a couple of reviews saying that the hotel felt like a home away from home - and that is definitely true! The staff were chilled out, attentive, friendly and absolutely made the holiday what it was, after a pretty stressful (!!) year. Can't thank them enough. ` The hotel was super clean, chilled, hand sanitiser dotted around, along with masks provided at reception if you forget yours in your room. I felt very safe and all government guidelines were adhered to which was comforting. Pool was very clean, quiet most days (September). Breakfast was delicious and varied, and more importantly, served until 12noon - for a late riser like me, that was ideal! We also appreciated that the waiters/waitresses remembered our coffee orders every morning which was a lovely touch. Cocktail list extensive - enjoyed many delicious strawberry daiquiris poolside - along with their club sandwiches! We were also given a complimentary transfer back to the airport when we left, which was generous and appreciated. Location also wonderful - a 5-10 (10 in heels!!) walk into the town which was also super handy. All in all we had a really wonderful few days which was absolutely made by the wonderful hotel we stayed in- thank you so much Semeli for being wonderful. A special mention to the waitress Stacey who was just absolutely fantastic - a real credit to the Semeli Hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Excellent property, nice buzz and gorgeous rooms

Amazing property with beautiful rooms, lovely bar/restaurant and pool spaces. The staff were wonderful. So helpful, attentive and easy going. I loved the peace of the smaller pool! There was also a great massage facility on site. The town is a very short walk away. I’d definitely stay here again! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I am so confused by the endless good reviews for this hotel. In my experience it’s extremely underwhelming and poor value. We had to change accommodation at very short notice as our hotel decided to close for the season and booked Semeli in a bit of a panic based on the positive reviews. The location is very convenient if you want to be able to walk into town and the staff are charming but that’s the extent of the positives. I realised quickly after we checked in that this hotel is partnered with Tui and a lot of guests are on package holidays. I think this is the reason for the extreme variance in expectations. We travel to Mýkonos for luxury stays with unrivalled service. This is not the hotel for that type of trip but the prices we paid created that expectation. I won’t go into the endless boring inconveniences we encountered when we were there but in general it felt a bit cheap..... sun loungers all reserved before 9am, a continuous shortage of pool towels, the breakfast is poor and lots of things are extra or simply unavailable (for example, you can’t have spinach in your omelette at breakfast but you can buy a spinach salad at lunch??, juices are concentrate, no a la carte options etc) and rooms are tired. This is not a 5 star hotel. It’s probably good value on a package holiday but if you’re used to staying in luxury independent hotels in Mykonos avoid this place! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
