Casino Wars

Feb 12th, 2020

OMG! My sisters and I were in Tampa celebrating my oldest sister's 50th birthday. We decided to go to the Hard Rock to play some blackjack, but fell in love with Casino Wars! It's similar to the childhood game I Declare War, but BETTER! If your card beats the dealer's you win! We played for about an hour (before they increased the minimum bet) and collectively won just shy of $1,000! We had a ball...we discovered a new game to play and won some money. #WinWin TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Casino Visit-Birthday trip

Feb 9th, 2020

Parking is crazy in the garage so be patient when you go. I was impressed at first with the two separate casino areas, one for non-smokers and an area much larger downstairs for smokers. The decor is nice. I started out in the non-smoking casino and began playing the machines. I discovered quickly this was not like I have experienced before. Where I am used to the “House” being the winner a lot of the time I was quite shocked to find there was no give and take like the bigger casinos use. It was strictly take. As I looked around I found that was the case at the vast majority of machines. I played a few different ones just to see and was proven correct. I also noticed there were no waitresses or waiters for drinks. I found that strange. I went downstairs to see if there was a difference but found it was the same. It was a highly disappointing experience. If you like shopping I did notice stores for that. I saw a candy store, two coffee places, a Hard Rock store and various others. Overall if you are going to gamble, be prepared to lose money and be okay with it. The hotel itself is nice however if you want to gamble, I recommend going somewhere else. You will have more fun. Very nice hotel. A+++

Feb 3rd, 2020

We are here for a two night comped stay. This is a great hotel. Large room (20508), in the East tower is very nice. Huge bathroom, with wonderful, large, tiled shower. Abundance of fluffy towels and robes. There isn't a fan in the bathroom (that we could see, anyway!), so the bathroom got fogged up, but no big deal. Nice king sized, comfortable bed, with high quality bedding. Our room overlooks the beautiful pool, which is spectacular at night! Although the casino is very loud, we hear nothing in our room. Hallways are completely silent. Although the room is comped, we lost enough money today at the casino to have paid for several nights, but having fun! Not sure that we would stay here unless the room was comped (it is expensive), but it's nice to have comps, so we can spend our money in the casino. (Smart move on hotel's part!) If you can afford it, stay here...it's great! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Always wanted to stay at this hotel.

We were able to stay at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel in Tampa for one night. Check in was 4:00 p.m. We arrived early and the room which we were scheduled to have was not ready so we opted for another. The original room was in the new section and the room we had was in an older section. We had requested 2 queen beds, non-smoking and close to the elevator. Everything was as requested including close to the elevator. The bedroom area was spacious and the bathroom had 2 sinks, 2 mirrors, and an extra mirror with light for closeups of your face. The toilet area with a movable wall for privacy, was a little tight but that was probably the original design. Nice lighting over the beds, if you wanted to read. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
