I Love Serafina Beach Hotel!

Mar 18th, 2020

Everything about the hotel was absolutely splendid! The ocean view room view was stunning. The beds were very comfortable. The restaurant was delicious. Loved having breakfast there in front of the ocean. The staff were warm, friendly and attended to every need. Excellent customer service. It's a perfect location. I'm so happy I chose this hotel over all the others and I look forward to coming back TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Amazing event for us! Made only better by the wonderful staff at Serafina

Mar 17th, 2020

We chose Serafina as the location of our wedding ceremony and dinner for it gorgeous location, breath taking views, and the ambiance & design of the hotel. We felt that this would be the highlight of our experience to have our wedding at such a great location. The real jewel was not the scenic views, but the people that work and make Serafina such a beautiful place. For such a stressful and complicated event, it could not have been any easier or come together more seamlessly. The professionalism and level of service delivered were beyond our expectation. It made our day so very special, enjoyable, and very easy. A special thank you to Tony for all his information, assistance, and personal character. But honestly, the team effort and great coordination was fantastic. Thank you to all of the Serafina family for making an amazing event so polished and smooth. I cannot wait to return, time and time again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Mostly great

Beautiful resort, friendly staff, and a hotel that attempts to be as "green" possible. However, this lead to a just a few issues that were significant. We could not get the thermostat to be the temperature we wanted it to be. It remained a cold 67 Fahrenheit, no matter what number we put it on. We asked maintenance twice to come and look at it. In the end we got an explanation that because it is calibrated to adjust when people leave the room for energy efficient purposes, the staff told us it was very hard to control. So we put up with a very cold room. Also, again to save energy there are very few lights in the room---which was fine. I am all for conserving energy. But where the lights were placed was problematic. The only place to read at night was sitting in a chair by the window. No possible way to read or do things in bed. This could easily be remedied not by adding more lights but by re-positioning the ones that are there. But don't let these things deter you. This was still a great place to stay. Spring Break

OUTSTANDING!! This was an outstanding stay, hotel and location. The ONLY thing I would change if I could, would to ask that the restaurant have a few more “common” options on their menu, otherwise nothing left short of the imagination. The staff was friendly, hotel was clean and well kept. The food was outstanding! It’s in a great location so you can walk to local shops and other stores as well as Uber wherever you need to. Great location, great hotel, throughly enjoyed this stay — looking forward to a return visit! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

San Juan

The hotel is in a good location. Small pool, nice view. The beach has sand but there are a lot of rocks so don't expect to getting the water. Front desk people very nice. I was there to visit an old friend and he and his girlfriend stay there as well. We booked a lagoon view room and when I got there was offered an upgrade for an extra $80 dollars a day for an ocean balcony room which I took. This was done around 12PM and that the room would be ready by check in. We went to old san juan and came back at 445 and was told it would be another 30 minutes before the room was ready. I told them that this was not acceptable as i had a diner meeting at 530 and needed to get ready. I asked to talk to the manger, dont recall her name but slender young lady, and I was told very rudely that there was nothing she could do and basically told to wait or take back my original room, which I did. This woman has no peoples skills and no idea of costumer service. Bar at the restaurant was great. Jose the bar tender is great and made good drinks. We had drinks there before and after going out every day and the food was good. Staff at the restaurant for breakfast slow and could care less about serving you. I would go to a nearby by place for breakfast and safe yourself some grief. So overall i would not stay here again. Not worth the money for the service received. Do yourself a favor if you are in this budget range and stay next door at the Vanderbilt; that's what i am doing for my next trip in 2 wks. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
