Top notch tennis instruction

Nov 3rd, 2019

I was there for several days of tennis clinic with my tennis friends. The knowledgeable, attentive, high level tennis instruction especially from Caerwyn exceeded our expectations. Pool is a beauty, rooms are everything you need, and being two blocks away from the great dining on El Paseo is a bonus. I'm already planning my return trip. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Not a resort-outdated

Oct 24th, 2019

We were very disappointed, thought it was a resort but its more like a Motel 6. Old and outdated. No restaurant, no bar, no shopping, no room service. Stains on the bed spread, dirty couch, blinds broken and won't open or close. Small cafe that closes at 2:30 and had bird poop all over the handrail going into it. Pictures advertised on Groupon very misleading. The only kind of nice thing is the pool but its not maintained very good either. You have to go to the front desk for anything, no room service. Go somewhere else! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

private feel with some resort amenities

Sep 4th, 2019

We stayed here in August 2019 for a group retreat and discovered that each room may be privately owned and decorated as they were all different. Our studio rooms had a kitchenette with stove, microwave and varying sizes of refrigerators. Our room had a lovely patio just steps across the grass to the Huge refreshing pool. tons of tennis courts. no formal restaurant but may have had a snack bar. Mountain views! old palms and beautiful plants, lots of grass areas.looks like larger villas are also available. meeting rooms are still rustic from 1947. Laura went out of her way to accommodate our group, even following up with me twice about a lost item. Resort is nestled in a very nice neighborhood. but still very close to dining and shopping. can accommodate large groups. was also quiet. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

There are Better Choices in the Area

Feb 5th, 2019

This is an old school golf course with a very narrow layout. While not very long, you will run into difficulty if you have a tendency to spray your shots. I was not a fan of the layout which features many doglegs. Exercise caution as you drive your cart from hole to hole as you may unknowingly drive it from a blind area into the path of someone teeing off 10 yards away. Very dangerous. Course conditioning was good. No cart service was available, but you can run in for a snack or beverage at the turn. A good value, but I probably won’t return. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Review for the Tennis Tourist

Jan 21st, 2019

This review is coming from the perspective of the tennis traveler. If you are looking to go on a "tennis vacation" in Palm Springs I could hardly recommend a better place to stay. They have 16 or 19 courts...mostly hard but with 3 clay. They have clinics for guests and members throughout the day and I found the prices reasonable compared to what I pay back home. I would suggest booking some court times before you get there for piece of mind, especially at their high season, but I was able to find an open court whenever I was looking. The swimming pool in gigantic, one of the biggest I've seen at a hotel, and they have multiple hot tubs across the grounds. Massage therapist available. The staff at the front desk was very hospitable. The on site clubhouse cafe is great and very affordable. I get the sense the rooms vary wildly depending on which one you get and perhaps how much you pay. The place is part hotel, part time share/condos. Some of the rooms are better described as studio apartments. We had no problems or issues with our room, I would note they didn't come to do any cleaning between check in and check out, and the room furnishings etc were probably on the old side.
