Great location. Excellent staff!

Nov 8th, 2020

I stayed here for two nights during the week. I was very pleased with my stay. I thought the rooms were nice, clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The balcony was also a plus as the weather was very nice. The Inn is very close to many destinations that are within walking distance. I didn’t have a problem parking at the Inn. The only negative things I can say is the toilet that was in my room was slow to drain and you had to hold the handle down until it flushed. The shower levelness must of also been off because the water would back up in the back and you had to use ur foot to move the water to the drain. Other than that I still highly recommend this place to stay. Everyone was nice and inviting upon arrival and a free drink was given. Keep up the good work. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

If You Like Loud Drunken Guests & Slamming Doors, This Place is for You

Oct 29th, 2020

We had an overnight trip in the Charleston area and decided to book at this inn since it was close to where my wife wanted to take sunrise photos, close to some breweries and the Fort Sumter Ferry. We checked in and everything seemed fine, the room looked comfortable and it is right at the Shem Creek boardwalk - seemed like a good choice. The fun started around 10 PM when we heard loud talking and yelling coming from the reception area - it was obvious the people were drunk. After about 30 min they ended up outside our door where one of them had the room across from us and the others were nearby. They were still yelling and now slamming doors as they went room to room. When it got to be after 11 PM I walked down to the reception area to the desk clerk who happened to be a young woman. I asked her if she was going to get these people to keep quiet or if I was going to have to call the police. There was no way she hadn't heard what was going on for over 1 hour. She said she'd take care of it and asked me what room I was in. She said she was going to write some notes for her supervisor and I asked her what good that was going to do and how it would help us get some sleep. We walked down to my room and when we got there 4 drunks walked out of the room across from mine. I asked them if they were going to keep quiet and one of them said no. The clerk said they were going to have to quiet down as the 4 of them walked out of the hotel, no doubt to one of the adjacent bars. A little while later they were back talking loud and slamming doors and then it quieted down. Around 6 AM there was loud talking again that woke us up and we think it was one of the day shift employees reporting for work and letting everyone know she was there. Shortly after the door slamming started again with people either checking out or going to the breakfast area. It was like there was a contest to see who could slam their door the loudest. When we checked out we didn't get the usual "how was your stay" from the clerk. She either didn't care or else when she knew what room we had been knew better than to even ask. I thought about asking for a refund but I figured that wouldn't go anywhere. We were just glad to get the hell out of there. If had booked more than one night we would have left and found another place. If a Monday night in late October is like a frat party at this inn, I hate to think what it's like on a weekend in the middle of the summer. If the night clerk left any notes for her supervisor, they probably don't care either because no one ever contacted us. They got their money and that's all they care about. I guess the $10 "resort fee" we were charged when we made the reservation was for the noise. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Girls birthday weekend

Oct 14th, 2020

I normally am not one to write reviews unless I feel that the experience was above and beyond what was expected. This place did not disappoint. The location was fabulous. Walking distance to restaurants and night life and a short drive (10 mins) from downtown (15 mins) to Sullivan’s island. The staff were amazing .. it was my birthday and they went above and beyond to make me feel special. Thank you Anne at the front desk and Emily Hagen the GM. Can’t wait to stay here again!!!
