I had a very nice experience in the spa, the Yelapa massage it’s the best I ever had, the service and employees are very nice. I also had a very profesional facial massage, very relaxing and comforting, highly recommended. 👍🏼 TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The hotel is in a relatively good location, it is surrounded by some restaurants and there are grocery stores nearby. It is a few dollar uber away from downtown, which is excellent. The beach of the hotel itself is not great-it is really rocky, so I would not recommend going. The rooms--well--it depends. Everytime we go, we get stuck in the timeshare rooms, which are relatively big (2 rooms, one master suite and one kitchen/living/pull out bed). The rooms though have not been updated in who knows how long. Maybe 20 years. They are bare, little decoration, harsh linens. The appliances in the kitchen don't always work. When you call to complain about anything, the staff immediately sound frustrated instead of wiling to help. If youre booking these rooms, well you probably will never know...there are no pictures of them on their website or on the RCI website. When you ask them to switch you to what the pictures showed, they say they cant and this is what you got. Second, we got a 20% off pass, and told the staff about this every time we ordered room service. They never factored this in, and when we went to checkout at the end and told them, they blamed us and said we needed to tell them when they delivered the food. This was never told to us--if it had been, that would have been easy. Then, we had to talk to the manager, who then told me we couldn't use this because we never even went to the time share presentation. The manager was SO rude! He did not care if we were happy with this solution at all. He basically gave as an ultimatum and then left us. In relation to another, I also got a package delivered to the hotel and signed by someone who worked there and they refused to acknowledge that the had received it despite the fact that I received a fedex confirmation that the hotel had received the package. Perhaps someone who worked at the hotel decided to keep the package. Again, the staff were so unhelpful about getting to the bottom of this. Instead, every time I called, they kept telling me to call back another time and talk to someone else I would not recommend staying here if you want an updated room, nice beach, or friendly staff. If you’re looking to have a nice spot on the beach with great service while still being close enough to the malecón and the downtown action, this is the place. I’ve stayed here multiple times and it never disappoints. Whenever we wanted to lay on the beach, we stayed on property and enjoyed the day. When we wanted to explore, we took the bus for $1 for a 15 min ride to the romantic zone. It’s the best of both worlds!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Great service, not good middle management.

The Good: hotel is clean, comfortable and with great service and location. The executive lounge service was superb and their food good. Special mention and thanks to Arnulfo, and all his crew who served us as royalty. The beach is great and the accommodations at the beach clean and comfortable. The Bad: The middle management. You have to either beg, fight or do both to get your elite benefits. Being this the hospitality industry it is very unpleasant for the customers. It is hard to earn an elite status, we worked for the benefits which are granted by the program. After asking and insisting we got most of our benefits for Bonvoy Platinum Elite, except the suite upgrade or lounge floor room, instead we were giving an okay room and a bad excuse and attitude for our request. We decided not to fight and enjoy our vacation but this was ugly. And The Ugly: The insisting selling the time share at the lobby every time that you set foot on it. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
