Central Location in Reforma, Exceptional Staff
Dec 8th, 2020
I spent a week recently in MXDC including one night at the W, one night at the Marriott, and five nights at the Sheraton. I was a little unsure given the slightly lower rating on the Marriott app, but I could not be more satisfied with the staff and my stay here. As a Platinum, I was upgraded to a lovely suite + executive lounge access. The suite was MASSIVE, with 2BA and a nice Bose sound system in the room, as well as a lovely view of the Angel of Independence. The housekeeping serviced my room daily, and I was brought items very quickly when I needed them. Everyone I encountered was friendly, responsive, and very knowledgeable about the current COVID situation in CDMX. You really can't beat this location either, as you're walking distance to Polanco & Chapultepec Park. I would imagine this would also be a great location when nightlife starts back up again. It's also not an unreasonable flat walk to Zocalo. Breakfast menu is a bit limited, but the food is wonderful as is the service and staff. The executive lounge also did a good job of providing free apps in the evening along with their house wine. I do look forward to staying here again! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Great Location and wonderful service

This Sheraton hotel is located just beside the US Embassy and on the other side of street from Zona Rosa. So, it is very well located and pretty safe to walk around. There seemed to be plenty of security at all times of the day and night. The staff very friendly. Reception upgraded me because I am a Platinum member. Liked that. The hotel is a high rise and views were not bad from my room. COVID procedures were well observed with temperature checks at the entrance. You can reach this hotel in about 20 minutes using a taxi from the airport. Currently, most of the hotel facilities are closed due to COVID. Zona Rosa across the street also closed around 10 PM. There is a street with great restaurants behind the hotel. The Zocalo/Historical plaza is about 10 minutes drive. The independence monument is in front of the hotel. Stayed here for the weekend to explore Mexico City and visit Puebla. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
A pleasant surprise in CDMX

Did a long weekend in Mexico City and opted for the Sheraton primarily because of location and Bonvoy benefits....spouse is a lifetime Titanium member so it's a big plus. The hotel is older but beautifully maintained. Very clean, too. And the location on Reforma near La Condesa, Roma Norte, the park, Polanco and Zona Rosa (and even Centro) is really a huge plus. The young man who checked us in (and out) was delightful, professional and a credit to the hotel. Wait a hotel front desk staffer should be, in fact, and I say this as a former luxury hotel manager. We received an upgrade to a suite (1422) and it was very large...two rooms opened in middle, with one bedroom and the other living area. It was perfect! Breakfast in the restaurant was excellent, too, and the staff was quite pleasant each of the mornings we dined there. The Sheraton Club was still closed due to Covid-19 restrictions but we were told the opening was imminent. We'll check it out next time. And since I mentioned Covid, the staff was doing a super job in following the CDMX guidelines. Overall a great stay. Bravo, Sheraton. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Can't beat the location

Location: The hotel's location is as good as it gets, right between the US Embassy and the Angel de la Independencia in a very nice neighbourhood (Col. Cuauhtémoc) where you can find quaint cafes, traditional cantinas, tacos stalls and Japanese restaurants all located right next to each other. The hotel is also located a short drive away (or if you feel like walking along Paseo de la Reforma you can do so as well) to the Centro Histórico, Polanco, Juárez/Zona Rosa, Condesa and Chapultepec. Service staff: Excellent service throughout the hotel. A special thanks to the concierges, Oscar and Lilia, for making my life easier by providing the latest info on local buses to visit nearby colonial cities. Bedroom: I'm subtracting one star because the bathroom didn't seem to have been properly cleaned (ie. stains in the toilet seat). The view was amazing though, and I highly recommend to opt for a room with a view of Reforma Ave. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
