Great clean and comfy beds

We had our Marine Ball here recently and stayed two nights. The hotel staff were very accommodating. But upon check out the young lady was not very king. Clean, large rooms, comfortable beds, if your are lucky you can get a view of the ocean. Would recommend this place. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We will be there again next year for the special Olympics. They helped everyone that was there... And it was a ton of us to help.... I hope that you will be ready for us.. The room we had was really nice and quiet. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good for Conference

If you're coming for a small size (500 - 1000 person) conference, this is a good property for the money. There are plenty of meeting spaces and a large exhibit hall. I would argue though that the facility is starting to show it's age. The staff is incredible at the property, and if not for them, they'd be getting a 3 star. Extremely kind and helpful. I will say that the app communication is a useless tool. I submitted 3 requests and didn't get a single response. I ended simply calling the front desk at which point they connected me to housekeeping. When I mentioned my service requests thru the app he said they don't look at it. The room was semi comfortable. The pillows, for me, are atrocious. They're supposed to be down filled but were hardly filled with anything. I literally used 4 pillows just to rest my head. I ended up asking housekeeping for a memory foam pillow. Bedding was comfortable. There were a lot of linens on the bed which made me really hot during the evening. Everything else from the room was adequate. The fitness center: pathetic. I've stayed here the past 3 years and the same treadmill is broken/non functioning; they're STILL missing a 15lb dumbbell; the row machine is still inoperable and too dangerous to use; and the floor is wildly filthy. However, as a person that has a dedication to fitness and with it as part of my daily routine, I am able to make something of nothing. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I stayed with my mom at this hotel and was very impressed by the welcome we received by Hanna Sullivan at the front desk! She was very friendly, approachable, professional and kind. Everyone that we dealt with at this hotel definitely possessed the welcoming southern charm! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Dont let the Sheraton name fool you. I have stayed in Holiday Inn Express properties that are better.

I am a Platinum member at Sheraton. I had requested a complimentary upgrade to a Suite about a week before check in. This is based on availability which I understand. On the day of check in, I called around 12:30 and reminded them that I had requested for a Suite upgrade (was planning on staying 5 nights) and asked if I could check in a couple of hours. The Operator put me on hold for almost 10 minutes before she came and said that it was not guaranteed but they will try. Arrived at the hotel around 3pm. Was told that no Suites were available and that all the Suites were on the 3rd and 4th floors were they were doing some carpet cleaning work. Was given a regular room with a King size bed. We went to to the 4th floor to check it out. There was nothing going on. No carpet cleaning (on that day at least) Room was adequate. Plenty of desk space with a nice full glass window. Even though the hotel is about 2 blocks from the ocean, could see the water in the distance. Not enough outlets. Especially next to the bed, there were no outlets or USB ports. Had to move furniture to get to that. Not good for a Sheraton! Used the lounge for breakfast on a couple of days and the restaurant on other occasions. Breakfast is average I would say. The staff at the lounge were quite cordial and helpful. They have a fairly well appointed gym, although it is situated in the middle of the hotel with no view whatsoever. Did not use the pool. Elevators say that you need to use the Room key for access to the upper floors, but they all worked without the use of the room key. On a daily basis we had flyers from various Pizza and Sandwich joints under our door. Serious security concern. Just anyone off the street can walk into the hotel !!! They have a parking garage attached to the hotel where one can park (for a fee) with your room key. WiFi worked fine and there was no password required. Upon checkout I noticed I was charged for breakfast at the restaurant on a couple of occasions. It is supposed to be complimentary as a Platinum guest. The person at Reception was very kind in taking it off the bill. I am actually a Titanium level after this stay. Would have been nice to have been offered an upgrade to a Suite, but even when the place looked like it was 50% full, it was not meant to be. Disappointing stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
